Im certain it is because the native resolution for my LARGE lcd screen is higher than the game (1600/1200 probably). The screen edges are "cut off" and exist outside the framework of the screen. What is actually on the screen looks fine, but i only have access to about 80% of the screen and the outer edges are cut off. I get overt failure when i try to play in windowed mode and changing the screnn resolutions or playing in any of the other color modes doesnt seem to help either; ive t
I have a Dell 19" LCD monitor and i cannot play Gal Civ on it since it doesnt resize properly. I cant even get it to play in the smaller window with help from the Stardock people. I have tried every permutation of display resolutions and adjustments. Is there any hope that a patch will be forthcoming to allow play on LCD monitors?
I have tried repeatedly to get a score to submit but only 3 scores have been recorded. I have probably played 20 games to finality and tried to submit...it hangs after i hit the submit button until i hit it again, then it gives me the SUBMIT REPORTED SUCCESSFUL box...but it never submits. I have a hardware firewall, but it worked 3 times...so what the heck?
I have the same problem EVERY time i try to submit, it always gives me the SUCCESSFUL SUBMISSION page but never shows the games. I have given up trying. If i just hit SUBMIT, it will sit there forevere and do nothing. I hit SUBMIT a 2nd time and it shows me the SUCCESS page, but alas, it never registers. I have the newest non-beta version according to Stardock
I cant get scores to post even when i try multiple times. I get the SUBMISSION REPORTED SUCCESSFUL box, but nothing shows up
I get the success window, but my scores do not show up on Metaverse
You can certainly accept production ineffiencies (and fleet inefficiencies), but should this be necessary? You are right about TBSGs having micromanagment issues, but some games handle them better than others (MOO and MOO2 both handled it great, but like a previous writer alluded to, you only had fleets in transit from system-to-system, you never had a full 2-D map to deal with) And i am imagining that at the Masochistic level, you are forced to deal with this level of detail in order
I've sent in a couple which did not get posted even though i got the "Submission success" message
Actually much more than 6000 pages now since i wrote that summary a long while ago. Every spell is written up for 5 differnt wizard classes and every clerical spell including unique spells for each of the 20+ deities..etc..etc...the "system" takes up about 10 large three-ring notebooks. it is loosely based on the old AD+D idea, but designed for intelligent adults
If you send me your email address, i have a Microsoft-Word document which summarizes the game for new players. it is about 20 pages long. My email is [email protected]
I have created a fantasy role-playing system, not a computer game. My resume is devoid of this particular effort since I am a physician by trade :)
I am a 38 year old physician who has been playing turn-based strategy games for a long long time and i have designed role-playing games/systems for almost 25 years. I wanted to make a few points, which you may ignore or discuss! First of all...congratulations on a game that is intelligently-contrived and excellently supported. Full kudos for what you have created. In general, I am impressed enough to make comment! In order to successfully play this game on the higher level
i have all of the STARDOCK updates, and when i submit to METAVERSE it gives me the success message (after about a minute or more), but my most recent score (5400 ish) is not listed. Only 2 scores are shown to have been submitted when i have submitted about 8. Hmmmmmm....
I have only managed to successfully submit a small percentage of my games. Usually when i hit the SUBMIT button, it just hangs there and does nothing. I have a Cable Modem and im always hooked up to the internet. Having Internet Explorer open doesnt seem to help.
