How to submit games to Metaverse - Stardock is unclear
from
Stardock Forums
If you visit the Metaverse webpage it "tells" you how to submit games to the Metaverse. The "instructions" are extremely unclear and I played and finished several games before I figured it out - which is a shame because those scores will not count and I did not save a "just before win" so I could go back and do it right.
For those of you who also are confused, here is how you do it:
1) First you need to register your player, the instructions for that are actually pretty clear.
2) You need to be online (dialup or hi-speed) when you finish your game!
3) When you see your "summary of game/scores" screen, click on "DONE". (This is the KEY which I did not figure out soon enough.)
4) Now you see a place to enter "ALIAS" and "EMAIL". Do so and click on "SUBMIT".
5) Wait a few seconds...
6) Should tell you your game has been submitted.
The Metaverse website tells you to "submit a game" but does not specifically state that you submit a game when you finish the game and click on "DONE". Great company, very supportive of players, but sometimes what is obvious to the programmers is not obvious to players - even those of us who have doctorates and programming experience!
