Can someone tell me how pirate bounty is reduced? What are the things that cause it to be reduced, and by how much? Thanks for any input.

Can someone tell me how to select all my bombers / fighters in a gravity well with one click? They display in groups of 10, and I have to select each group separately to tell it to attack a target. Any help would be appreciated.
I just upgraded SOASE to the most recent version, then upgraded to the most recent version of entrenchment. I start the game up, and after playing the game for less than 1 minute, the game dumps. This has happened twice. Please tell me exactly what other information you need, and if you need a file, tell me what I should send to Ironclad (and if there is some kind of dump file created, EXACTLY where I can find this file to send). I am running XP Pro on an IBM T
Please explain where I would find a 'minidump' file. I've never heard of this type of file.
I am not restoring a save from a previous version. The saves that won't restore are from the middle to late stage of a random large game. I have 5 saves from earlier in this game that will restore, but the last 3 saves all dump when the game is loading. When loading the save, I get to the point where the planets and phase lanes are displayed, then I get a dump.
Where should I send the save game files, and what information should I include?
OK. The countdown timer goes down to 0. There is an announcement that a pirate raid is imminent. There is bribe money (50) on my head and not on anybody else. I click on a button to put 250 on somebody else. That money disappears but the money on my head remains (an announcement that there is no profit...). I click on the button to put another 250 on the same enemy. Again, that money disappears - same announcement - but the original 50 on my head is stil
I have researched everything but can't figure out how to jump to another star system. Help!
I've been playing the game since GAL CIV 1, but I can't get anywhere in the beta. I keep on running out of money and am always 200 per turn in debt before I even really get started. It happens even when I'm playing it on normal level / human. It starts on the first turn. Even with the default 33% tax rate and 67% capacity level, I'm 16 per turn in debt. My latest game I'm 18 months in (huge) and can't go on. I have the tax rate at 44% and the capacity at 50% and am in debt and losing 150/tu

I still can't figure out how to do either of these. When I click on the little triangle on the zoom controls, it simply removes the controls at the bottom of the screen, same as it always did. I also still can't find any button in the orbit box to set the direction that the ships leave orbit. Any help would be really appreciated.
Experiencing same thing (v1.2). Gigantic map 768mb ram. Biggest pain is that save game file is deleted.
Don't know if it's been reported, but this bug has been around for a while. I'm in a game, and restore a previous version. Sometimes the range calculations get whacked out and a move that was OK before (1 space even) is now out of range. I go back to windows and restart, loading that save, and everything is OK.
When you're watching your ships automove, and a ship reaches it's targeted position but still has a partial move remaining, that ship is not targeted. The ship that moved BEFORE THAT is still targeted. You either have to cllick on that ship or click the find button to target that ship. I find it a real nuisance that has existed since the game first came out.
BinnisterGC2, I think that the tech trees that you developed are awesome. I find them extremely handy. I think that the weapons side tech tree would be just as beneficial. That is what I meant when I said 'both butter and guns'. Something else that would I would find great would be a simple spreadsheet listing all advances and their tech cost. When some alien comes to me offering to trade, it would be really usef
Could someone tell me where I can find a list of all technologies and their costs (both butter and guns)?
Ideas from other posts that I would really like to see: 1. Not an act of war to attack an armed ship of a foreign empire when its in your territory. 2. Earlier tech building – allow us to build ‘obsolete’ buildings. For example, want to build a crude factory on a new world? Go for it. Discovery spheres too expensive for now? Build a xeno lab. 3. In Galciv 1, you could click on any given spot and find the influence of al
I would like to upgrade my colony ships to troop transports. The manual says that I can do this either individually or by ship class. I can't figure out how / where to do this. I look all over the screens, but can't see an 'UPGRADE' button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When starting a new game, I somehow wiped out the alignment of all the races, setting them all to pure good. I know what the original 5 should be from 1.20, and can fix that. However, what should the default alignment be for the Korx and the Drath. Also, shouldn't there be a 'Default' button to reset the alignments?
I'm on mission 2 (normal). I beat the korx, but the game continues to go on, just me and the altarians. Is the problem that my morality is 23? My relations with the Altarians is friendly. The game says that "Close relations with Altarians means victory." Can I win this, or do I have to start over?
Deep trouble with new patch when loading existing game. I have a game that is almost finished, and just installed 1.13. When I loaded my 'New Save Game', The game immediately awarded 3 wonders/trade goods to the AI players. At the end of the turn, it declared the game won, and that I had won a technical victory, even though I hadn't come near completing all research. When I load my Autosave, the game shows that none of my planets can build any social projects. I'm very disappointe
Could someone please explain to me why the chart that shows influence by player oscillates so dramitically? Population, military, technology, and manufacturing are all relatively smooth charts.
There has been a bug in the game from the beginning. Starbases show up as long as they are unowned, but when they get owned by someone else, they disappear. I could see the fog of war hiding ships that your sensors can't detect, but at least before terror stars, starbases are not movable!
There really needs to be some distinction made on the planet build list for trade goods/galactic items that shows that another of your planets is building the same thing. Either don't show them if another planet is building them (ala Civ 3) or at least show them in a different color.
Autoexplore for scouts
Ditto. Also, how about a way to tell if one of you other worlds is building a trade good/galactic wonder?
