Considering the AI doesn't value them at all, it is so easy to go and snag them up. Two morale boosting ones or two economic boosting ones have a dramatic and visible affect on your Empire. Get that with influence and you become unstoppable. I am playing with the full AI. Thoughts?
Guderian129
For real, unfortunately, the scope of any demo can't begin to describe how deep this game actually is.
Nothing wrong with it! They're just trying to sell some of their food, maybe open up a shopping mall or two.. Don't you like their goods?
The AI builds farms on my game. Annoying because it's like 4 farms, so the population is huge. Luckily, I'll see them with only 40% happiness and just information war them.
I'm playing as the Torians right now. AI is set to Intelligent and umm.. I bee lined towards planetary invasion because I knew I'd be invading the Krox. I got it VERY quickly. Nothing even close to 123 turns or whatever it was. Optimize your sliders. Build crappy filler units to get your military score up at the beginning of the game. Then you can tank your military slider all the way down and focus on research and infrastructure. Get
I found that the economic bonuses are incredible coupled with the AI's hatred of strategic resources.
Just got it myself. I even name it M-2 and I get a crash
So, I see the Andians set up a nice influence starbase near Iconia. I get a little missed and blast it to all hell. I havn't even discovered the Andians position (Gigantic galaxy), but the Arceans and Iconians say, "To aid you in your fight against the Andians we give you some of our finest ships) and they just give away their upgraded resource bases. Now, my military isn't weak by any stretch nor are the Andians a threat. Isn't it a bit
What number 8 basically means is that the bugs I encountered wern't anything game breaking. I was tired a delerious Either way.. 1.1 beta is good. The initial colony rush requires expansion with though, which I like. Anyway, I'm going go off to start a massive game now!
Hey Frogboy, Y'know, I'm kind of ticked off at you guys. I was planning on going to bed early and getting up at a reasonable hour. Instead what am I doing? That's right, clicking away during that "last turn" trying out the beta. Anyway, I decided to write up a few of my observations, what I liked, what I didn't like, and what needs fixing. Remember, I'm just one player, so it's just one player's opinion. 1. Blind exploration
I had to take it down a notch. I had an excellent start with a TON of mining resources. Then the Alterians and Drengin were like.. HAHA U R GUNNA GET WOR NOW!! LOLZ!!! and sort of just steam rolled me.
You're a godsend, thanks!
That's right, if you use the left mouse button to move around in the custom ship screen, it gets umm... VERY sensitive and throws you out into space. Your ship becomes a tiny speck or you fly so far away that you just can't see it anymore. No way to return either, so beware!
Would that be a possibility in a future path to get a spiral arm or a core w/ a rim galaxy set up going? That'd really be cake considering each race could get a nice fair start with those.
Oh buddy! What have I caused Problem I noticed with tight is that everyone is on each other meaning some civilizations are gonna get whiped before I even enco
I find that picking evil early on in the game is a sure fire way to get flattened. I'm playing on all the AI's on Bright, as a good Terran I crippled the Dregin and now the rest of the good civilizations are helping me pick apart the Yor. Who cares if they are the strongest? They can't take on 3 races at once.
I dunno.. I found beelining all the way through the diplomatic techs gave me some nice tech sale prices.
I don't see how, but I think there needs to be some balance changes to get people to switch from all the econ. bonuses + Federalists.. I just don't see how.
Play in strategic mode
Sensors needs something that Eyes of the Universe does not provide though.
"9-11 how can I help you?" "Yes, I need a second grade English class here pronto!"
Not sure if this is a bug, but I noticed that during a war with the Yor, I captured Iconia, but there were still Yor freighters leaving it. Not sure if anyone has noticed stuff like this.
It does matter. The lower AI is supposed to make stupid mistakes. It's simulating a player that is just a beginner. It's not only gimped economically.
The psionic beam is ridiculously over powered. With proper positioning of my fleet (outside of their border) I dismantled the entire Arcean navy (second strongest in the game) in one turn with heavy hulled, psionic beam equipped, engines. It was a mass murder with 4 billion troop carrying transports scooting right behind them.
I agree with the Eyes of the Universe. It needs to be changed as not to not make an entire tech branch useless.
