...and this was never fixed... maybe it was intentional for entire fleets to go missing... of course the implementation was poor. Anyway, same thing happened to me. The fleets are in the list after the cure. Disbanding causes an empty place holder in the fleets list. The individual ships cannot be found in the list nor decommissioned. Saving and reloading clears the empty fleet from the list... Well, time to rebuild my fleet.

My OP ... was ignored(?)
Win7 GC2U v2.03 First, let me say I'm no artist and I'm NOT fond of the designer for numerous reasons. Second, Is there a way to change a component's angle by numerical entry instead of the radial button, e.g 5 degrees? Now the Bug, problem. <img src="http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac5/RasterOps/GCII/Design01.jpg" alt="Corrupted d
Thanx. I didn't even look at the camera controls for some reason.
Just bought the Ultimate edition... In the original GCII (maybe GCI?), in the shipbuilder, there was a way to preview your design by turning off the connectors. How is this done now? I can't find a button or any reference to this in the manual or forums.
Well I'm playing Apocalypse at Normal difficulty. This galaxy is now being over-run by DL Frigates. Yes they have 3-4 worlds. I'm barely allowed to build a small fleet but can't deal, ON MY OWN, with 20+ Frigates and 10+ Escorts. My allies similarly suffer. Money in this game is and has ALWAYS been poorly designed. I have this under control in this game but come on, WTF? I have had to Sell tech and research the max in economic tech to get it under control. I have been virtually the so
Click End Turn, unable to continue. Consistent and unavoidable CTD. Yes my video drivers are current. I tried turning video qualty to lowest setting. I tried changing in game events, attacks, research, etc. I checked disk for errors and defragged. I set affinity to 1 CPU. I changed from SLI mode to single GPU. I found after a crash GC2Launch.exe (?) was still an active process (not always). Usually the debug log doesn't get past "Destroying ship Krynn Defender..." which is sometimes a
I'm confused as to what precisely your complaint is? I think I understand now why no one here understands. You have all played a dozen or so games and have come to accept the problem I am trying to express. I had Corvettes, made them myself from the medium hull because this made sense. I wanted Cruisers so I would have the next more power
Everyone has missed my points; there were many. First, who said I used core ships? I never said I used core ships. I use the same core ships that everyone else does. Don't try ta pin that rap on me copper, ya gots no evidence. I think I'll just focus on point one. Point 1: Each hull class must improve upon subsequent classes by increasing hit points and equipment space. Sub-Point: Per the above rule, this game o
1.20b.011 All I want are realistic hull class distinctions like GC 1 or real world. A ship class shouild not be dependent upon some arbitrary technology, e.g. Stinger IV. II was building Frigate class ships before I knew I could and still have not seen a Human Frigate core class. Do I not call this a Frigate because I haven't researched Warp Coils III? I called these Corvettes because that made sense given the designer hulls available. The Corvette class would be the next logical
My Autopilot is Defective. Unlike yours my Autopilot bug occurs only after loading a game. The Autopilot switch is engaged remotely for all ships/fleets on the map. I'm guessing Drengi hackers. Ships that have Autopilot destinations are redirected like yours in item 2. Stationary ships will similarly take on the orders of other ships. Everytime I load a game I have to locate and re-redirect them to their original destination or disengage the Autopilot switching mechanism.
"Chief, those guys were doing something to this structure. Looks like an upgrade. If I put enough of my guys on this, we can nut out what they were trying to do. They've got a lot of odd equipment laying around, it probably all belongs inside, no idea how it works though. It also seems they were using this wierd building mat
I'm not sure why this is an exploit. If you are attacking with a mode that causes a drop in planetary quality or infrastructure and you can afford the cost of multiple attacks, and you can afford to lose the transports, then what is your purpose but to decimate the planet. I wouldn't want to capture the colony. If my lone soldier did capture it I wouldn't want to keep the colony. I would simply destroy the colony. Attack modes that decrease
The Dread Lords conquered a planet. Then I took it back. They were upgrading the Factories and Labs. I don't have this tech so why are these being upgraded after being recaptured? This is like capturing the technology except I cannot upgrade my other planets. Speaking of the conquering planets, when a technology that causes damage to the planet quality or infrastructure is used, Why is the damage only applied when the attack is successful an
Disbanding Fleets: Not possible when any other ship/fleet is in the same stack. Why must a fleet be moved off of a stack to disband one or all ships? If this double posts, it is because of this error: "There was an error with your request. Please try again."
Stacked ships/fleets remain selected when another ship/fleet is scrolled to (ala Find or mouse click). At this point when the desired ship/fleet is moved, the ships/fleets in the stack also move. This just makes me mad and to avoid this requires me to tediously ensure no other ships/fleets on the entire map are selected but the desired ship/fleet. How do I clear the game of all ship designs so I can start over? So the Build menu doesn't list
