I recently had a fatal system error that forced me to reformat my drive and reinstall everything, Long story short when I tried to install Galciv2 it told me my account was expired... I am able to install all of the other games I purchased through stardock without any error message. Can anyone plaese tell me how to resolve this? Yhank you.
All ships have a speed of 1 after entering an asteroid field. I'm guessing this is intentional. You might want to fly slow when rocks bigger than your ship are tumbling around...
Impulse is telling me my account expired... I am house sitting for my brother and wanted to play a game of galciv2 TA and sofar everything I have tried has failed. I'll try SD central and hopefully have better luck with that. Why would Impulse say my account expired though? As far as I know there is no expiration date on stardock games....

I have been looking everywhere for this expansion for a long while with no success. I do not want to illegaly download it even though it has been impossible to find on Ebay or Amazon. If anyone knows where I could get a copy I would greatly appreciate it.

I can't say how much it pisses me off that you dare compare what Microsoft is doing to what Stardock is doing. They don't have copy protection on their game so according to you they should let every Tom, Dick and Harry just download it for free?

I have noticed that even after I delete everything in the my ships folder sometimes parts linger on. I noticed this after starting a new game having deleted the folder when I saw an old ship design listed in the research screen followed by the needs following techs. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

That sucks, try to hitch a ride when you can then. Best Buy won't let you trade a game in for a different game but they usually don't have problems exchanging for another copy of the same game due to defective software or missing materials.
I sincerely hope they change the sliders sometime to be independent of each other. With all the economic bonuses my empire has I end up with huge ammounts of money in the bank even at 100% production funding. I would love to be able to run my facories, research and social production all at 100% if I can afford to without taking away from other areas while doing so.
I never hit CTRL-N, L or anything else and the AI still sometimes acts like a smacktard. I'm talking about painful or higher difficulty - so thats not the only issue.
i hope they fix this as it severely messes up the games where I can only play for a few minutes at a time.
Its not a glitch or a bug with the doom ray. They simply havent had time to implement art for it yet. Run a search for doom ray and you will find several topics that have discussed this already. As for thye black boxes on the core ships - it might be the non functional weapon shield and other jewelry that is on the core designs. For instance 2 phasor banks on core defender - it clearly doesnt have phasors but it does have the jewelry for them.
Upgrade is better I think. I'm not 100% positive but when I upgrade it looks like the effort put into the first building is transfered to some extent to the second. I only noticed this by upgrading buildings on captured planets.Its alot faster than demolishing and rebuilding.
I noticed that sometimes when I hit the close button on a planet or event window it sometimes also ends the turn...

Yup as long as you have the serial number you can download the game. Or if you have already registered just log in and download the whole shebang.
I forgot to add they were also defenseless. I am running patch 1.1 as well. The first time I played the scenario was with the original unpatched game. They gave me a lot harder run for my money and I was playing them on normal or even easy. I'm wondering if the AI sometimes gets stuck in a rut. I noticed the naked defenders before but after blowing them up the computer always built better ships spanked my butt and sent me crying for my mommy. This time they just sat there and let me exterminate
The AI failed to build anything except a few colony ships and constructors. For combat ships all it built were 0 attack defenders. I took my time waited forever for them to do anything remotely agrresive - they just sat there sending in the occasional constructor to build a base I promptly blew up. Upon capturing their last planet they had the tech Phasors 3 but had done absolutely nothing with it... whats going on? Did the mission AI get a lobotomy? The stardate I won the game was 1 nov 2228.
Will this also work with the US version? I would like to help as I speak fluent German.
