And on top of that, they are willing to make a hard choice, no multiplayer, in order to give us an amazingly solid and fun game. Personally, I did the same thing. I read a couple reviews that this game was really great but I've heard that before and didn't want to sink my money into another blackhole game. Pirated it and by the end of the day I went out and bought it.

Someone obviously never read the race description....
Thanks! Even if you can't manage to squeeze it in there, its nice to know that you tried.
but only giving it when colonized is the easiest way to abuse that. just gain and lose a colony over and over again and *Tada!* PQ32 planet.
As for the rebelling of conquered systems....why? You wiped out all of their people. Everyone on the planet is either your citizen\soldier or a convert if you used information warfare. Who is there to rebel against you?
Like it has been said, just edit whatever file has the tech descriptions and go with it. I personally think there are funny, though thats just me. If it came down to rewriting the tech descriptions or fixing up an exploit\bug, I go with exploit\bug.
3rd - oops, do some other X-things ... Exploit?
Its a great idea that, in my most humled of opinions, doesnt work very well on a 2D display. MOO3 had a full 3D galaxy, and it looked gorgeous. But it was fairly awkward to play with.
Also, if their relations are too good with the race you are asking them to attack, you can't even ask them. This happens when they are friendly enough to be able to be allies.
But the whole point of his argument is that the colony ship would presumably be built in low orbit, something like the International Space Station. Your telling me that you can't send a missle approximately 300 miles up, but that it can go to the other side of the world? As to the FTL part, there is no FTL in Civ games. Thats why you have to have all the power, food, housing etc. for the ship. And even with a constant thrust, it still takes time to get moving. Pre-emptive strike a
Very nice looking ship.
If that is true, and it shows your diplomacy ability, then it should never go down. Especially with how it will rise then fall the exact same amount. And it doesnt look like random event things, because the Terrans alone changed 19 times in the span of two years. I could see how it would be the relative diplomatic advantage, but it would be nice for a dev to let us know exactly what this is supposed to represent.
I could see why weapons wouldn't need to get bigger. But all the other items I can understand getting bigger (yes, because of physics and simple logic). It just makes no sense why a laser would need to be bigger for a massive ship than it would for that little pidly fighter that does the same damage.
Poor Jill.
The download should work fine, though I bet the first day or two will be a little bit of a pain to get the game if a lot of people decide to get it.
if you look in your race stats tab, one of the values is weapons. your starbase with plus 7 adds 7% to the weapons (and defense) lines. get a few fully upgraded mining stations and you can easily pump up your damage.
Three cheers for Stardock!
Origonal Master of Orion and the first X-COM game are two of my all time favorite games.
The stats for those ships are scattered all over. Plus they have no movement speed. His behemoths probly can move faster, and have all the stats plopped into one category e.g. all that into beam. If it were a straigt cross over, it could have 920 attack points in one category and then you can also transfer the 448 defense points to one category or put it all into defense. Even if only half of the defense fit into offensive weaponry, that still means it would end up with 1144 attack power, no
every game with the humans and drengin they have spread like the plague. I havent really noticed the many of the other races, either because i never meet them or because i just go straight to war against them.
Or if you have a ship of the same class somewhere else, upgrade it and click the lil button under the ship picture (upgrade all ships of this class) and it will upgrade all the ships of that type, like it says, even the ones in fleets. Can take time depending on where they are, and can also cost a pretty penny. Upgraded one of mine after about a game year at war. Cost me almost 80,000 BC to do, but now my fleets are pounding away on the Drengin again <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T
Ditto. As to the OP...my guess is that they are getting the 1.2 release finished up, and then they will go through the backlog of mods since some of them may no longer work (when I went to 1.1 some of the ones I used stopped working). That way they only have to go through the whole process once. Hopefully some of the issues with the library will be fixed, or lessened, with the server\database update tomorrow. Just have to wait, hope, and see.
It does add tiles to your planets, but only to ones that you colonize.
Eh, I think they at least have to touch on the whole why Altarians and Humans look alike theme. Then they can get the axe. But I doubt they will. Voted Torians. Pretty much a no-one race in the story so far.
I definately agree that the borders need to be a little more solid....maybe introduce a non-agressions treaty that only allows them to cross your border to reach their own planet?
