I dont think you can really go wrong with either Diskeeper or PerfectDisk. used both for years, although ive settled with PerfectDisk for now.

A good tip later on during a game is to add more Colony Modules to a colonization ship, that way you can transfer more citizens during the initial colonization. You can also use a colonization ship as a shuttle for transfering citizens from overcrowded planets to lesser populated ones.
I dont really mind strategy games on consoles (although I personally prefer playing them on PC cause its just easier with the controls etc). What I however dislikes are games that are developed for consoles first and then ported over to PC, cause they generally tend to be just plain horrible. As far as strategy games go, I hope they keep on developing them for PC first and then porting over to consoles.
Hi there. Was just curious, does metaverse scores work with the Arnor beta(s)? Forum Search function turned out to be as helpful as a rock in the desert.
Where is V for Vendetta when you need him? The un-armed civilians need to make a plan to rush those troops and grab their equipment with minimum losses. Or at least called on the troops to join their movement. Its a country consisting of some 50 million people, over 90% of those being Buddhist. The problem is that the junta is being supported by powerful nations like China and India who supply them wit
My bad, did search for a appropriate forum section but guess I missed it.
First off im aware this might be completely off-topic. Although as far as im concerned, democracy is never off-topic. I just wanted to raise awareness of the fight for democracy in Burma. Currently very little information reaches foreign media from Burma, since the military junta started its fight against the peaceful protests and democracy movement. Its up to those of us with the option to voice ourself to react and not succumb to silence in the face of evil (even worse than the D
Any chance for getting somekinda tech value feedback when trading in diplomacy? Etc have the development cost in brackets next to the tech name: "Warp Drive [1000]" "Xeno Entertainment [500]" and so on, this would give a better estimate on exactly what your trading with/to.
Just wondering, which of the forum sections is for posting player feedback/suggestions on changes/fixes/ideas for GC? Should I drop the post in the beta/bug section? Shouldnt there be a dedicated forum section for player input? If you do a search for "suggestion" it shows posts all over the place.
Again, my bad. At a closer look Ship Range does seem to work with the Ownership filter. I guess the problem is that the the Ship Range filter has a color that is virtually impossible to distinguish (at least on my monitor and the color settings I have). What files modifies with color of the Ship Range filter? A more green color would be more fitting than the light grey one that it uses by default.
My bad, shouldnt be posting before morning coffee While were on the subject of the minimap, is there anyway to enable the Ship Range view while having territory view enabled? Or is there hotkeys for enabling/disabling the various minimap functions.
No Glare Mini Map
I got mine in the confirmation email when purchasing from Stardock, no idea how that works if you bought it from a retail store. But id assume its on a piece of plastic attached somewhere inside the cover or manual.
So what your saying is that a ISB has its own set IP value and further modules enhance that value, it also stacks with other ISB in range? So it doesnt really matter where you build a ISB (in your border, enemy or empty space at the end of the galaxy), the ISB will always have its default IP value to work with? The influence value is also strongest at the starbase location and lowers down as you reach the border of the sphere? Which would mean if trying to convert a enemy plane
I want to know how capturing other races' tech will be handled (ie getting a slave pit that exist on a planet that had been captured). I imagine it will be no different than it is currently... you can already capture a planet with alignment-based planet improvements on them of an alignment not of your own. Some techs may be unstealable or untradable, but I imagine you can still always capture plan
++n When you press Ctrl+N the AI was resetting difficulty level. Did you fix that? No, I still don't know what is causing that. When it was first reported, I looked into it, but it wasn't doing it for me in the debugger. I haven't actually gotten this to happen yet. It might help if someone told me exactly what settings they started out with, if they were starting up fresh or if they'd loaded a save game pr
When I try this all my ships just turn invisible.
Yes thats true, but don't you think good races need some sort of benefits too? Even if they take a loss at the start it should pay off in the long run atleast. And even if you are a good zealot, you have crappy bonuses any way. In a way, No. It should cost to be Good, being evil is always the easy way. Its what defines the universe, if you would suddenly start reaping benefits from morally good choices the universe would also al
The Good / Netral / Evil thing needs to be fixed, as said by many here on the forum. Being good shouldn't always be a kick in the pants. Like the underwater cities, if the you let them live they will contribute to the game in some other way. They could give you a boost in extreme planet colonization research for example. If you just killed them all you get nowhere, so evil should get the
Sequal? When you got sucha solid platform to work on as GalCiv2, is there really any point in even considering a sequal? Its like if Caesar would have said "Hey, lets rebuild Rome from scratch!" For most games expansions are rather shallow, but the GalCiv2 expansion add a lot of flavour and content that improve a already great game. As long as the expansions dont break the gameplay, I dont see any reason why I wouldnt want more. Twilight of the Arnor has some of the features iv
