Where is the serial number

Help!!!

I have my new copy of Gal Civ II at last. But I can't find the serial number anywhere. Can someone tell me where it is?

Is it the Manual? Inside the bow? Where?

Because it isn't obvious.

I got mine in the confirmation email when purchasing from Stardock, no idea how that works if you bought it from a retail store. But id assume its on a piece of plastic attached somewhere inside the cover or manual.

It's a limited edition copy (in a metallic case). I got it from Amazon.co.uk

The annoying this is... I installed the game last Fridayand can play it ok (Great game by the way), so I had the serial number then. But I can't find it in any of the literature now.

I need it so I can log in to the Metaverse.

Not sure since the serial id isn't requred to play the retail version of GC2.

And to be able to update the game to the latest version. Lots of improvement have been made between GC2 1.0 and GC2 1.4

BTW, if you have entered the serial id when installing GC2, it will surely appear in the windows registry in one of th subfolder of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock hierarchy

Peace was referring to viewing the registry with regedit (go to run in the start menu, enter regedit, and hit ok). But if you're not experienced with computers it's safest to not mess with the registry. The serial should be somewhere in the papers from the box, or on/in the jewel case.
