It may be good to remember, MT4K, that no everyone is remotely computer savvy or as familiar with their PC games and the methodologies of patching, listing version #s, etc...as some of us are. Someone might have seen those numbers and just totally ignored them as gibberish or unimportant.

How? As the first poster already wrote, you never see your own portrait in the game, do you?
Roger that, thanks for the info. I know about the focus buttons so that wasn't it...I guess I either didn't have enough factories or $$...one of the two I guess.
I agree with pretty much all of the original poster's ideas, as long as the devs are able to make them work within the game balance. I see Repair and No-Cost Defence being problematic however. PS. Alfonse, no need to be rude and haughty. It's just a game, bro...chill out a little. Citizen Number Muncher isn't trying to ruin your favorite game, he's making suggestions, giving feedback. It's a time-honored tradition here in the game indus
Kalin, you said that I had redlined but even after I'd gotten money flowing again (was not negative at all) and had my sliders set appropriately (to get my social and military production rolling), it STILL seemed like there were many planets that were full of NEVERS (i.e this will NEVER be built)...just not sure what that's all about. TO everyone so far, thanks for the tips, they're awesome to read. One new question: "When buildi
Hey my fellow Galactic Citizens, I have a few questions about the game that I thought I'd throw up in a thread to see if I can get some advice in order to be more successful playing this game. Mainly, how come at some mid-point in the game, several of my planets begin to show totals of ZERO for Social, Military, AND Research production at the top of the screen and everything that's being built says it will be completed 'NEVER'??
A couple of things to remember in this discussion: 1. Consoles that use Hi-Def also require you to own/purchase an extremely spendy HDTV, which significantly adds to the price of having one, something often overlooked by Console fanboy/owners, in these kinds of discussion, not to mention the ever-greedy bundle system when purchasing an all-new console, whereby game stores force you purchase a huge glut of crap with your console thus raising
Keep the politics crap out of these forums...this is about gaming. No one wants to hear your political views (to those who wasted our time posting them). I agree with the original poster of this message, pretty strange ethical change to make from peace to war in one turn. LOL
I think there should be some way to correct bad spelling. Proposed is how it's spelled! But I like your idea too!
I have two 7800 GTX in SLI right now and have no problems with dual monitors or with GC2. Welcome to the community, though, Fallschirmjager88!
wow..this forum has truncated every post..can't read any of them barely. Figures, cause I need this info too...
Please never use that font or bold ever again in your posts, AoEFanatic. Ouch..my eyes are STILL burning. LOL
Could I help from Minnesota? LOL It's still snowy here at least that part is similar.
Thanks, waitingtoconnect, I feel like it's a simple, easy way for the devs to implement some form of MP for those who would like to see it in the game. (I won't mind if the game never has any MP but it could only make the game better, imho, if done properly.) Veteran Supreme Shogan: I have read several other MP threads and this isn't so much a post about having MP as it is about a nifty idea that would incorporate the Ship Designer and be easy to implement to boot. I'm not sure if
Hail my fellow Galactic Citizens! I was just mulling over the lack of Multiplayer in this game, which is not a problem for me, it's such a superb game overall, but I think I've thought of one fun way to incorporate it which would also include the ship-designer feature of GC2. You could have a small multiplayer feature where 2 or more players are given a set amount of points and allowed to build as many ships as possible with those points. They could build a few larger, mor
I think he has a right to post this concern. If he was doing it everywhere (spamming) and not giving them enough time even to fix the issues, then you can tell him to quit posting this kind of thing but for now, I think StarDock would probably be happy to know about the issues. Just my opinion.
Good points, ALF. I also agree that the only enjoyable thing about the mag these days is the Tom vs Bruce thing. However I loathe the Robert Coffey editorials because he so obviously tries too hard to impress with his vocabulary. It's almost painful. The last time I read someone so pompous and pretentious it was Gary Gygax's column in Dragon (I know, it's sacreligious to say that about one of the founders of D&D but it's true, unfortunately.) PC Gamer has always been a lot of fun,
I think that CGW has been on a slow slide to crapulence for a LONG time, that's what I think. This is just further proof of that. The torch has DEFINITELY been passed to PC Gamer and Computer Games, they're far better PC gaming magazines all around.
Where can you find the image of the tech-tree map on this website?? You'd think it would logically be under Downloads but nope... I love StarDock but their website could use a quick revamp to be more intuitive and organized, imho.
Yeah, I also am a bit cornfused? I thought it was released on late Friday? 'splain?
Where have you seen this game title and how did you hear about it? Haven't seen anything in here about it....(just curious, you gotta love an expansion for an already great game!).. Thanks!
Hey sweet...wow..talk about a solution staring you in the face, I had just glossed over that as a placeholder more than anything. Ugh..do I feel dumb. LOL Thank you!
I don't even understand any of this talk about social production, LOL. I hope it becomes more understandable as I play the game more (I've only messed around with the game a few times so far, playing a few turns here and there after doing the tutorials and reading about half of the manual)... Why is it so bad if the game spends Social Production (SP) that you aren't using anyway? I'm cornfused... If it's easier to tell me just t
Sorry if this is a noobish question but how do I get a planet's shipyard to stop continuously making the same ship over and over again? First I've clicked on the planet to bring up the planet build screen, then I click on the shipyard link in the top right, then I click on cancel on the ship build screen that comes up but it doesn't stop them from being produced?!! Even after going into the OPTIONS menu before the game and shutting off the
