I think ships should have been fixed some instead of removed all together. Why remove features? When I first played the game, I thought they could have expanded on sea transport. Maybe add some type of sea creatures that could attack your ships and that would have been great. I have not played the game in a long time but this makes me wonder how does one get to another continent now?
People actually play Civ5?
Dumb comment considering Civ V has been the top release this year along with SC2. So yes, several hundred thousand people play Civ V [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
I will be flamed by the hardcore strategy guys, but I took a shot and bought this game three days ago.I have civ V and was completely bored,so I read all I could on this and took a chance at going against the game review polls and listen to the common gamer.Yes it needs AI work and other things but already it is addictive for me and I am having alot of fun.I know only a little of this game because it is and will be very deep.Saying that I too trust Stardock to really get
Money has been tight lately, as most of you can probably understand in our current economic climate. Having always been a TBS fan, I had to make a decision as to which game I would buy this fall. I've been anticipating Civilization 5 and Elemental for quite some time, but I had to go with the latter, and I still don't regret it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting pretty tired of the Civilization series. It's starting to remin
I don't think I have ever seen a company with support for their games like Stardock and if there was, I certainly don't remember it. This is exaclty WHY Elemental will evolve into the best of the genre just like GalCiv2 became with space strategy.
Yeah MH2 I am referring to Making History 2. I loved the first one and thought the demo for MH2 was right on so I am most likely going to pick that one up before it goes off sale asap. For $20, that can't be beat for a game like that, had a buggy start but from what I read is patched up nice now since the developers are really dedicated to it as they were with the first game.
Those screenshots of MoM do make me realize, sometimes GRAPHICS actually DO matter. Not as much with strategy games but they are starting to spoil us (look at Civ4 or 5 and GalCiv2) and I love the look of Elemental, its so original and gives that nice flavor of an old school fantasy game modernized for modern times. Its one thing I find attractive with Elemental, I just like the way it looks and my friend says the same thing. Anyone here every played Disciples? I loved the artwork in that gam
They have some killer sales going on tonight, looks like I am going to be buying a few games and taking advantage of this. I think this may be the biggest sale I seen in a long time on Impulse. They usually don't put near as many games up for sale as what is up there now. Steam and Gamers Gate may have to step aside on this [e digicons][/e] , for one I have never seen MH2 at $20 since its release.
I would love to see more creatures in this game. Here are some I think would be cool and really add more variety in the game... Barren/Deserts: Giant Scorpions (would love to see these, clash of the titans anyone?), Sand Worms, Giant Ants, Cyclopse Swamps: Giant Snakes and other reptiles such as a Crocodile <span style="tex
Guys I just got back from my buds house, I played the game over there for 3 hours straight and never had any problems. The more I played, the more I realized this game is awesome and addicting. I guess you can safely say he sold me the game even though I told him about it being released first. Maybe if I played more I will notice issues but as of now, I don't notice ANYTHING, it seems to me it all actually works ok but I want to see more creatures,
Ok here is one from me, somebody standing on the side lines and watching the game unfold. I just played EWOM at my buds house the past couple days, I was surprised. I mean the game seems so freaking addicting! There is no doubt, no doubt that there is a ton of expansion room in this title. Simple things, such as adding more creatures, more quests, just more of everything. The actual engine is right on and you can bet SD is all over this game from what I been seeing. I read people talking
Excellent update, I am one who will be making my purchase very soon [e digicons][/e]
Quoting Frogboy, reply 52 My biggest problem with the article is the quote he took out of context. Qt3 isn't just some random site. It's my home away from home. And Ben Sones isn't some random forum poster, he's a friend of mine (FB friend and all) and when he called v1.0 an "early beta" I admit, it ticked me off and I snapped back. I shouldn't have said it and I regret saying it, but for PC Gamer to t
I just watched all the 7 videos that are up there and I have to say this without a doubt looks like an awesome game. From what I seen, it looks as if Civilization married Heroes of Might and Magic and had a baby and that is one fine looking baby. [e digicons][/e] If I don't buy it on impulse tonight, I may just pick it up in the store but most likely I will get it on impulse.
Disclaimer: I'm writing this post as neutral as I know how. It's not a disrespect of the developers - merely a list of issues (both large and small) based on my short time with the game so far. I have ONLY played through a portion of the campaign so far - haven't even looked at the "actual" game. These are legitimate concerns / issues with the game (from my POV) - I'm not sitting up at 3:00am for the fun of it. If you don't agree with something I've said: that is your pr
I stay on the water kayaking or boating during the day, play games at night or when the weather is bad. Sometimes fly rc planes on nice days too.
@midnightrunner - LOVE YOUR SHIPS and the names and descriptions are equally as good!
Where to start with that. How bout that entire statement might be the "more retarded" than naming your kid Hitler. The comparisons stated there aren't even close to being related. For one, Obama wasn't named after a homicidal maniac...most likely they didnt even know who Saddam WAS when they named him. And what kind of crazy thinking is it when you start replacing letters in names to prove your point. Do
I find the name "Barrack Hussein Obama" a problem and he is the president of the USA. If he can be the president with that name then why can't someone name their child Adolf Hitler? Saddam "Hussein" had killed thousands of people, he was a modern day hitler. Osama Bin Laden... replace the "s" with a "b" in Osama and you have Obama. Shows how stupid people in USA can be to vote that through to president then complain about a kid named Adolf Hitler. WAKE UP AMERICA before it
Nothing to brag about but here are a few old and extremely simple designs I made a while back even before ToA. For some reason I like them even though they only took a few minutes to put together. They are as cheap as they look  I have a thing for aft super structures on larger ships, as you can see.
Greetings! The better part of my "surfing time" over the past 10 days has been spent doing a lot of research on GalCiv II. As a self-proclaimed hardcore TBS gamer going back to the days of "Empire" on the PC and "M.U.L.E." on my Atari 800 (which still runs, thank you very much), GalCiv II has been somewhere on my radar ever since I started hearing about it and the awards it's garnered over the past couple of years. Later tonight, I am finally going to take the plunge, trust these guys with
Original, addictive, awesome graphics, excellent interface, unmatched replayability, down right fun... can you say "instant classic"? What a game! :CONGRAT:
I just picked this game up from best buy today. Let me say, guys you have a huge winner here. This game is as good as civ4 and galciv2. It really is! Excuse my language but damn this game is good! No doubt, no doubt this one is going to win reviewers hands over fists. :CONGRAT:

Off the charts! Totally off the charts at a whopping 110%! Just downright, hands down, freaking awesome!!! I practically passed out when I seen that example of the immense size galaxy. :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
