no they don't I have several occasions where a single star system was unreachable by myself nor the A.I. until 3 to 4 years later. and the star was colanizable, containing one planet that was 22. Of course I was the first one there.

alright, so now it has an icon, what about the graphical representation? was there a graphical representation of the doom ray before 1.1 and you just took it out? Will there be a quick update patch to put it in the game? I would be nice to have a different representation for the doom ray rather then using the plasma gun. it dosent crash, the gun works, fires a totally cool beam, but there just is no graphical representation in the ship builder, icon wise and on the ship itself Considering it is 1.1, i thought i would research everything and see how it works. One other thing is where do the super computers come into play? I have them but I dont know what I researched to get them.

The doom ray has no picture, it uses the laser as its default graphics, and no icon shows up when you place it on a ship, I appologize if this is already known, too lazy to do search.

I usually concentrate on mintuarization and speed, I usally take weapon research when I take enemy planets
