hmmm: "This game is built on an inadequate economic model. Hiding numbers can't hide the fact that taking reasonable actions creates counter-intuitive and unreasonable results." Kinda sounds like the economic state America is in? Maybe we should get Greenspan in here and see what he can do.

Could you give us your computer specs. Graphics card, cpu, OS, etc. If your serial isn't working, and you also got your compy from a European vendor there is a website you must goto.
well, if you adjust the production bar back, I assume you have it at 100% And usaully if you drop social production lower and have military production higher you will save money there as well, both Social and research costs more then military. Next patch, 1.1 will have it so money wasted on social will go back into your pocket, not just wasted.
Yes just to make it clear, as long as you have one point into any defense you will get the total amount of defense bonus from the military starbase.
Actually, going neutral teraforms the entire planet making all blocks usable. Also in order to increase your population beyond 5B is using farms. Only your initial colony will have 10B.
I agree, the Torians are a bigger pain in the but the the Yor, For the record, my last game was on painfull. It seems that I can easily crush the Yor, but the Iconians, and the Dreign are the most likly people to gain great influence in my games. They are always dukin it out, and if they weaken each other, the Torians just gobble them up. That is of course if i'm still fidiling around with the Terrains. I usually leave out the Alterians because...w
i've played on tough and painfull and have recieved 3-10 rangers in one game.
That would be a cool mod, like in star trek deep space nine, an episode where the sail ship used some sort of natually occuring "gust of winds" forgot what it was called, to travel to other systems.
Thats not true, we get the Acrean defense as well, for missle theory
lol thats great, you should have said they were going to give them Baltic Avenue or something, or a get out of jail free card, you can't put a price on freedom, especially from the Dreign
I'm sure they ment well, maybe they were in the red and couldn't offer anything but a pat on the back. That would be a cool add to the diplomacy. Sorry we don't have any money to spare but heres a recipe for one of our great meals, etc. But I would be interested in how much money they had at the time of this.
As I look over the scores in the metaverse i've come to a hypothesis. The more evil you are the higher your score. does anyone else notice this? All the high scorers have pond scum, or pure evil. Does anyone else see this? Are there bonuses for being evil, neutral or evil? Any information about this would be great.
Alright im playing on a huge map, and i invaded a minor planet with 4000 troops, and they have 20billion people. I invade and win then all of the sudden the population goes nuts! I have 4 Trillion...thats trillion people and now am getting 22k per turn. I have the save before I invaded and after I invaded. If you want it please contant me. I am using: 1.0x.1 lol will it count seeing that I'm playing in the metaverse</
It is possible to create said "trek" ship but you have to scale eerything down and think of each peice as one in a million of peices you have to lay down. So it would take forever praticly
Obviously none of you have ever upgraded a navel ship, or anything for that matter. But another thing to mention is that you can't put a price on experience. Why upgrade a ship that has never seen combat when you can upgrade your 4, level 21 ships.
Well i'm sure if you had maxed out 2 or so morale resources you could have 20+ billion citizens. So far i've gotten 31 billion with a level 23 planet and had 89% morale
It happens to me as well, but even with single ships. Everytime I hit the turn button, all the ai ships make their moves, but when it comes to mine, none of my ships have any movement points. I would have lost my first game on the metaverse, if I wasn't already killing the ai 30 to 1. Would like to know if this has been brought up before and
If your always get beaten by the bright level, then I recommend you start on one or two levels lower. Try making a custum race and puttin attributes into skills you think you will do. For example, if you want to have a grand economic power, put 5 points into economics and select the federalists. Basicly what im saying is, just mess around with stategies on tiny, small, medium maps. So that the game will be quick and you can find a good starting strategy. Practice makes perfect, if you
Checking Edit: Yay me too
I'm a techie, It took me a while but I figured out the best strategy which ends in an almost technological win in 6 years
I agree, There should be a way to edit how many resources there are. Adding or removing them should't affect the overall total score, but just increase and decrease the amount of playing time in any given game.
Why don't my military starbases give the bonus I set up for my ships? I add on a +1 missle attack module, and it dosen't show up on my ship stats. I added up all the base attack of the ship in any given fleet and they don't take on the additional starbase bonus. My military starbase has a total of 5 bonus attack and 5 defense modules but they are just being wasted. What am I doing wrong? It has been the same for all of my games.
Do we have to pay more for the expansion? or will you include it with the patches? When can we expect the expansion? Is it too soon to ask? Who needs sleep? what ? DAMN IT!! need ending...
Alright, I know there are people trying to override the "Do not open until the 21st" code ANyone have any ideas on how to do it? Some sort of brainstorming session here would be nice.
It seems if you right click and choose to archieve GC you can then install the archieve, I have yet to figure out how to get the multimedia pack, the website seems to be down update it seems the california website is operatioinal. use that to get the mp
