In my most recent game, the weapons fired in the battle viewer were wonky. The plasma beams fired in slow motion. The Doom Rays also fired in slow motion. And the weapons are targeting empty areas (although the damage does register in my stats screen). Overall, there seems to be massive desync problems. The problems are illustrated here. <p

That last update looks like Galactic Civilizations to me!
Hey Guys! Look what I found in this thread! https://forums.galciv2.com/445174/page/5/#3394596 Is that one of the Thalans in Galactic Civilizations 2?!
It has been a while since I last played GC2, but I want a mod that will make the AI even more tougher than they are now. Which mod should I look at?
MarvinKosh, If you can, can you include MORE military-assist modules in the tech tree. It is ridiculous that you beefed up the other two categories of starbases but completely neglected the military starbase which in the right situations, are the most powerful of all starbases.
But there are two flaws in the mods I saw: 1.) No ultimate weapons 2.) No Military-Assist Weapons for space stations. I really want all options open and both have saved me in the past. Until I see BOTH, I will not download the mods.
Me, I don't use mods. Because Galactic Civilizations ToA Vanilla is challenging in the fact I can't seem to steam-roll my opponents on the higher difficulties like I did with Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire on hardest difficulty. That alone should account for something.
And Stardock's going to release it when it's ready.
Unless if they become VERY massive...
Actually, it maybe possible that you could, lore-wise, make another major civilization to be very sneaky. Especially if the Drengin conquered the galaxy...
If your treasury is over 10000bc your trade income gets halved. If it's over 20000bc you take a slight hit to your economy that can cause a deficit. So spend to get under 10000. Buying a troop transport is usually a good deal for the credits and an unarmed transport won't cost you any maintenance.
Didn't know that, thanks for the information.
Well, lets hope there will be a civilizations that can cause people to spontaneously punch each other and cause wars. While I admit I do not like the Drath Legion as an enemy due to this very reason: I do like the fact that causing infighting against my enemies is pretty fun!
I just started playing as the Drath Legion and it's fun to be a puppetmaster of the galaxy! However, if I recall correctly, the Drath was eliminated during the Dark Avatar campaign. Will they return to Gal Civ 3 or not because of the campaign?
Me? I tend to use battleships alot for my main assault fleets. I have fleets comprised of many fighters, a few frigates, and a battleship as defense fleets to be used with star bases. And I tend to have a Revenge Fleet, composed of the SUPER-ULTRA powerful ships. The Revenge Fleet is designed to find other enemy fleets of great power and smash them to pieces!
Hey guys! Looks like we have a spam bot attack! Can you help up with this trash?!
Welcome to Galactic Civilizations 2! To answer your questions! 1.) To improve your attack, add more or better weapons to your ships. The Drengin are strong at war thanks to their weapons bonus, so you need every advantage. It also seems that they are using missiles extensively, which works VERY well with their strengths. Things you can do are: add more weapons, research better weapons, and find military resources (those red crystals). If the <spa
It was. But I was winning military-wise!
Did anyone else suffered from cultural defeat? Or I'm honestly the first one?
I'm not sure what it did. But from the message, I think it forecasts my doom, somehow...
Also, another thing I HATE about these games is that no matter what I do, the computer player always wants to go to war with me even though i'm not even in the lead, and never antaganized them at all. the 2nd thing I want to se in Gal Civ 3 is the abillity to turn off the computers abillity to declare war. that way, they can only go to war when I feel like doing so.
Se
OK, I seen TONS of mega events in my games, but this one I never seen before: Should I be VERY worried or not?
Not to mention, there is a special building known as the Eyes of the Universe, which gives out +10 sensors to ALL of the owner's ships. Combined with the sensor bonus from the previous techs, the result is that my ships can reach the sensor hard-cap of 15 WITHOUT ANY extra help at all.
However, if you are lucky, it probably will not take 11 ships, if one of their weapons does extremely badly on a roll (ex. a Doom Ray dealing 1 damage on a damage range of 0-22).
Hello, and welcome to Galactic Civilizations 2! Answers! 1.) The population of some planets are too high to keep a good morale. Once the planet hits more than 20b, the happiness of a planet would sink like a rock exponentially. Most experienced players stick to 20b as a cap since populations any higher would cost way too much in entertainment buildings to justify the increased tax revenues. 2.) The only way that the planets are not producing anything without
