Ship Replacement in Sins Modding Sins Forums

Hi all, I am new to modding and was wondering how I would go about replacing the TEC carrier with one that looked like the Battlestar Galactica? I downloaded the sins of the fallen blood and chrome mod, and was hoping to use one of those ship models to replace the TEC carrier.

Modding Custom Race in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

I have been messing with the Custom Race stats and trying to give them 25 starting customization points. The problem I have is that no matter what I change it will not change the values in the game itself. If it helps at all I am modding just Galactic Civilization 2: dread lords.
