How do I get my cheats to work? in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

All the examples on websites have the words "TotalGaming" in the shortcut title, but mine doesn't. When I try to add it, windows doesn't recognize the file. Just Adding "cheat" to the end of "GalCiv2.exe" doesn't work either. What do I do to get my cheats to work?

I tried adding the word "cheat" to the end of the shortcut target, but that didn't work. People keep talking about a parameter or something. I don't know what that is. What am I doing wrong?
