I'm sure there was a little discussion about naming, but I don't remember where ;) Anyway, I try to name planets like: RES XXX, PRO XXX, ECO XXX (XXX - original name of the planet), and when planet is filled with buildings I add "F" (finished) at the end like: ECO XXX F. Why like that? You can easily sort and group planets with the same role, and quicly see what is going on in the specific group of planets. When I have over 30 planets (sometimes 50, sometimes 8
and what? probably you couldn't go past this mispelled word, you couldn't sleep, work, eat... I don't understand ppl who just waiting for the very moment of shouting 'I got ya'
I bet I saw somewhere trick for playing Dread Lords! ok, got it https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Cheats_and_keyboard_shortcuts "To play as dread lords: creat a new civilization called dread lords, leader lord dread, portrait the guy with the hood on, the sign is the fire ball, the planet amalda. save the civilization and load another, then load the dread lords again, and it should be a "major" ra
one idea (UI): in civilization manager, in colonies list, option to move to selected planet (and close civ manager) now you don't have a chance to do that, you have to close civ manager, and open planet list and search for specified planet then you can click on that planet
I'm not eagle-eye kind of man, but looks like you just modified look of mining stations and maybe planet texture am I right?
For my games where Thalans don't play, Humans are in the top of colonizing madness, with Torians of course.
patience pays well, man ;) this forum is not so crowded as it maybe seems, and such questions were asked again and again, maybe not directly like your, but to the point first of all, Kalypso version (GC Ultimate Edition - which I've got) can be patched up to 2.03 (via Impulse) and which to buy? personally I've never tried Dread Lords or Dark Avatar, so from my point of view Twilight of Arnor, Endless Universe and Ultimate Edition should be ok for you look at http://www
Ok thanks, my laptop is too old to play Halo so I've never bothered to check what Halo is about ;) anyway, I think that from GC civs Korath clan should suits you well, maybe they are no so religious (religion doesn't play any significiant role in GC) but they like to do little KKND (crush, kill 'n' destroy ;) to other empires
"constructor without hyperdrive, but that doesn't sound like any fun at all" why? if he has a resource (e.g. economy) couple of blocks away then building a plain constructor is a good idea... I have another idea: I build ships without modules but with 2 engines (fast) and send them to destinations (resource etc.) when they reach desitnation I'm clicking "upgrade" and they upgrade to plain constructor (without engines) Upgrades cost, but remember that constructors
:) seems someone has opened Pandora's box
I've never played Halo so I don't know what Covrnant look like etc. but if you want some customization for example a logo and a portrait then go to (my game is GC Ultimate) My documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\Gfx and in folders "Logos" and "Portraits" put your designs. Next time you play new game you can use your new graphics.
system BIG EARS - maybe not so good looking but very usefull*, max packed with sensors to look for a coming threat * I usually play with "fog fo war" F 118 - I tried to recreate something from our world and that's why F118 is here. This t
aeligos, IMHO GC2 (especially Twilight of the Arnor) is better than GCI. Look for sales, if my memory is ok, there was a chance to buy GC2:UE for 6 EUR or $ or something like that. I bought mine for, well, 4 $, as attachment to games magazine ;)
I don't bother. I like an unique design of my ships, and even tiny stupid 0 engine constructor must be nicely done :D
Interesting point. Actually, I don't remember if I ever had a chance to see minor's ships in the diplomacy(trade) screen. Maybe that's intended and doesn't let smart/tricky human players to buy all ships and just send undefended transport ships to conquer minor's homeworld? ;)
I'm not sure, if I can post here "AAR" from professional, but this is definetly the funniest: " Making peace, not war, tea, trouble or bacon" by Tom Francis PCGAMER http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=195920&site=pcg
