Framerate is a sticky issue and I don't always understand it - so what you're saying is that the framerate can never truly be above what the refresh is for your LCD? I turned on VSync for Fallout 3 when I upgraded to my monster machine and I outright noticed that while I had no stuttering or slowdowns my character actually moved slower. It took me longer to get from place to place. No joke. I turned Vsync off and I was moving at the correct speed again, even though the screen would sh

It's too late to submit my game as I decided to finish it out and removed the broken fleets, but here goes: I was fighting against two other civilizations. I had about 50 fleets of huge ships (52 logistics, so 10 per ship), stationed at my borders and protecting most of my starbases. All of my planets had moved to production as we'd finished virtually all research available. It was an arms race, with the other two weaker than I was, but allied and together probably more

I love Galciv, having played the first from it's inception (one of the earliest to buy it). Sometimes I hash it out with the AI and sometimes I like to play God and cheat like hell Unfortunately, I've noticed, cheats will work as long as you do not re-load or quit a game. Once you do that, you can never use cheats again in that particular saved game. I am running 1.2 beta 1. Again, don't bash me because sometimes I li
"MOO" is Master of Orion, a 4X strategy game along the lines of GalCiv, however, it's last release failed miserably.
Stardock is the best company I've ever purchased software from. Few bugs, great games, and stable software, not to mention a top-of-the-line support staff. You'll be fine, believe me
Totally agree with the coding thing. In just the past few years, my code is tighter, faster, and more productive. Many times I can re-use code easily with little or no changes, or bundle it all together as a separate project as a code repository. Practice, practice, pratice...
Count me in for the queue!
I tried it without the firewall. I created a new user and tried that. I tried a fresh install of GC1 & AP. Nothing has worked. Hmmm....I think I will post to the GC1 forum. Thanks!
I've been frustrated because I've been unable to post any scores to the Metaverse for a year (last score was March of 2004 under Nico56). I've installed a fresh version of GC (after removing the previous). No enhancements. No alterations. No cheat codes. I played games in both GC1 and AP and tried to post them (AP was strange. If I didn't win, I wouldn't even get the score screen or the option to post to the Metaverse). I checked my firewall (McAfee
Eh, mine is random. Sometimes I can colonize a dozen planets and then it crashes, sometimes only one or two.
