I know what you mean Dutchvn38417, I though some of my ships looked pretty good, until i came here and started looking. I sat slack jawed looking at the Wing Commander ships, GRATS, those were incredible. What I miss is co-op with my friends. Either 2 vs however many the game cann throw at us, and we build our civilivations specifically to support each other. Or even team matches 2v2vAI, those kinds of things I always loved. Especially when games can have 8-16 players.
How do I use Spys for defense?
Hmm, will have to try some of this. My experience so far (VERY limitted I know) I tried putting spies on a planet, and they got killed almost immediatly. I never had a spy last more than 4-5 turns. Glad I stumbled across this, will look into Loupdinour's guide. Im finding I like the TBS forums/support/groups better than most other games.....much mroe adult sounding forums :)
Multiplayer! I used to hotseat MOO2 with an old friend of mine frequently, wish we could do that, or evenover some sort of LAN and internet play. Control of ships in combat. I was playing last night and I found myself talking to the screen..."Shoot him, no Him, NO HIM!!.......GAH" I won the battle but I know I could have won it with less losses of ships. Thanks for the heads up, so there is no way to make a ship actively defend the bases then. :( I have had incidents where I dont have the speed/range to reach an enemy ship in my turn, but they can go by my ships and frag the base, quite annoying when im trying to learn the game. Is there anything I can do about that, or just get range and speed faster than they do. That brings me to another question, how big of a role does speed play in combat? <p
Hello all, first of, I wish I discovered this game long ago!! Having lots of fun atm, but still learning, and have some questions. I have kept alot of my research balanced, and my ships are crushing oponents even when we are outnumbered, but I take a Battle station and give it every upgrade I can get with up to Battlestationj lvl 3 and mine get crushed by 3 Medium chassis ships. This leads me to 2 questions: 1) What have I missed?
