Your attitudes are so Egalitarian they make me sick. - that word doesn't mean what you think it means And yes I totally disagree, I think if you observe high levels of play a lot more is involved that a casual player is not aware of and cannot acount for. If balance was majority rule tower rook would have been nerfed into the ground long ago despite being easily counterable. Some players consider tower a rook "a glaringly obvious flaw" to this day. <b

[quote]That is total Bullshit. in all seriousness, if you propose that every player undertaking a game of demigod or any other game for that matter should be subject to the opinions of of overly serious twits then you're stupid. Putting people through narrow apertures for success takes the game out of the game, that is, it loses it's fun quality, and loses it's quality of being a game. Having all of the say in the hands of people who don't play at a nominal level of gameplay is preposte

They cant allow mods into the skirmish/panth games all willy-nilly! they would have to standardize the UI mods, otherwise different pantheon games cant be compared, and the stats will be skewed. I think it would take substantial effort to break the stats/panthéon system more than it already is.

Honestly I can't stand girls/women who go out of their way to make it known they are female when playing games online. They are almost as bad as the guys who go crazy over them as if the game is for picking up a date.

By and far the most heard objection to doubles is balance (I would argue an invalid one), either overpowered or underpowered. Ideally, a game should be balanced at the pro level. A casual player has no right to say something is overpowered/underpowered simply because they can't or refuse to counter it. The second most heard objection is that it is unfun, but even if the number of abilities is decreased the number of available tactics and strategies

Actually, a team with two capable Sednas where the other characters are any other mixture against a team with one Sedna's is going to have vastly superior surviveability. The question possed is whether or not that additional surviveability is against the intended purposes of the game. In a 5v5 situation, I'd say absolutely not. It's quite acceptable. However, let's raise the number of stacked Demigods. Say, 5 surviveability build Sednas. Working together. Now, we have a problem. Now, let'

I wouldn't use "stack" to describe two players working together. Sure 2 sets of mines "stack", but in pretty much the way mines would "stack" with a pounce/spit/hammer/etc etc. From a balance perspective, this seems to be your arguement: 1. We never play with doubles, so I don't know if they are balanced 2. Until we know they are balanced, we should never play with doubles Which amounts to "I don't want to try doubles because I never tried doubles b

800 health is a huge chunk to pass up, it not only wins battles by itself against every other favor item early game, but provides valuable buffer towards surviving combos and stun-locks. Combined early game with nimoth chest armor, scalemail, and banded armor you can pretty much bully your way around the map until end-game.

Double snipe - can amount to 2000+ damage, coming from somewhere you can't see 2 players working together can do 2000+ damage no matter what class. If they ambush you from the fog behind or stun lock it won't matter that you happen to see them. Perhaps most common of all, if you are fighting ANY class and the regulus is good at teamwork you will take 2000+ damage if they time their abilitie

[quote who="Melric" reply="15" id="2297874"]At some point every DG can solo a tower. What I want to see changed is Reg's ability to do that at level 2 while being outside of the range of the tower. That can be accomplished either by upping the tower's range (base or by upgrade) or pushing out Reg's ability to get range. As a second issue, structures become meaningless as the game progresses regardless of the upgrades that you throw into them. As WickedBear m

Most demigods can easily destroy a tower if no one is around to counter them, many without taking damage (Sedna, QoT, Rook, TB freeze, UB spit, Regulus). Priest upgrade or buying priests for generals can let you sit there and bash them. Catapults and giants will tear through them if left alone. So your issue seems to be that you can't counter regulus? Well sure he can kill towers the easiest, but a speed-upgraded regulus will do one of two things. Either I trap him in hi

There seems to be a general conviction within the community that doubles are not allowed. Since I see no reason why not to have doubles, I occassionally ask my host/teammates and get exactly two answers: 1. Doubles are overpowered. 2. Doubles are underpowered. Now I might be crazy, but are either of these reason valid if the other half of the community thinks the exact opposite? I've also seen people mention that focused teams are

If one of my friends was entirely new to forums or the internet in general, and I had to give them one rule to live by and become a better poster it would be: If you are a troll you did something wrong. There are a million ways you can end up a troll. Either you went too far away from the topic, became overly critical of other posters, or didn't have enough intelligence. Maybe you just weren't reading the other replies close eno

Granted I'm a bit bias against consumables in general and should really use more of them, but locking down the xp flag for a minute doesn't seem to be worth 250 go

Unless I'm on vent its very hard for me to guide poeple around, so I wouldn't expect tons of direction. Most of the time in pro games you can react to your teammates movement and adjust your strategy accordingly. Also there are lots of noob only games which no one should complain if you mess up. On the reverse, if you join a pro only you deserve to be flamed. Finally the best way to compensate for inexperience might be to buy the creep upgrades at the citadel

If one of my friends was entirely new to demigod or gaming in general, and I had to give them one rule to live by and become a better player it would be: If you are dead you did something wrong. There are a million ways you can end up dead. Either you went too far from base, other players, didn't have enough hp/speed, your heal got interrupted. Maybe you just weren't watching the other demigods close enough and you got ambushed.

Regulus's best skill is his mines, it practically defines the character and you should expect them to be powerful. Its the same with Sedna and her heal or Oak and his shield. They can be avoided, and often times tanked. As was said above, the deadly ones are the ones you don't expect.

Being a noob is not a terminal condition, many noobs lead happy lives once they've come to accept it. An effective noob cure has yet to be discovered, but there is always hope! On a serious note, there are many ways to play demigod but if you join a game marked "PRO ONLY" that you can't handle you are just ruining the game for everyone. I don't go joining noobs only games just to kill people over and over. Its not a matter of looking down on people

Sedna in a newbie vs newbie game is a very overpowered class, her heals can't be interrupted and no one can focus damage to kill her. In a pro vs. pro game however she is in constant danger from classes who can stun properly, outrange her, and interrupt the heals. Being a melee class she has to commit to the battle as well, making her more vulnerable to slows etc. But yes, if you play regulus vs sedna 1v1 ignoring the rest of your team and walk right up into melee range

Great post I faintly remember dying a few times while running away and thinking "they really are swinging fast aren't they?" killing me just as I would have been safe. I don't really have an eye for detail with these things but I hope they fix it TT.
