@ vindKtiv: That was not appropriate. They are entitled to their opinion just as you are entitled to your's. I believe that you could get your point across just fine in a more polite manner and be less likely to start a war.
Uh, yeah, RYG is entitled to their opinion. If you took any time to actually read and comprehend my post, you would have found that in no way did I say that they are not entitled to their opinion. However, since you are so protective of peo
Not by a longshot. Communities vary. Dota is agreed by most to be one of the worst.
Definitely, I have never found such an over-competitive bunch of dbags. I think it has something to do with the game, where it takes so long to master that you feel as if you are entitled to bragging rights. I know all of my friends turn into huge dbags the minute they fire up WarCraft III.
Seriously, Kathleen and whoever the fuck you guys are, you guys are complete idiots. If you guys think that Stardock is becoming all draconian and shit, you can go play another fucking game and the rest of the world will go on, not giving two shit about you and your lameass website. It is completely fucking obvious that you guys couldn't win 2 cents with your knowledge on DRM. Oh yeah, and I have to login to gog.com to download my old games. Doesn't that mean it is protected by DRM
There needs to be a resign/surrender option. It is very annoying after the whole team quits half way and its just you and your teamate, farming bots. It is amazingly annoying. Why do I have to kill these bots just to finish the game? If I wanted mess with the stupid AI I would have played singleplayer. They should make it so that it is automatically considered a draw/win if the entire other side quits or disconnects.
I support just giving us chat, as well as size lobbies and region.
Well you are in luck, as you can press SHIFT+TAB and chat with a crapload of Demigod users.
*(I'm not bitching, I love this game)* While waiting in game lobby for like 30 minutes, till we could get a 3on3 going.. I realized they should give us some kind of flash game for the lobby ^^ Duck Hunt ; Soldat ; Chess, or whatever ^^<br
If everybody is going to mute everybody, then there really isn't a point of adding voice chat anyways is there? And besides, implementing voice chat takes resources, precious resources that could be spent elsewhere. New demigods, new maps, map editor, balance, and, oh I dunno, connectivity maybe? They have way too much stuff on their hands right now. Maybe demanding voice chat at a later date would be fair, but right now it just isn't needed.
Definitely going to stick by this game. Good job SD and GPG.
First level totem giving %20 more experience? That sounds OP already. Just imagine, Citadel upgrade + experience flag + totem. You won't have a problem getting your Bully achievement as long as you have this Demigod. Maybe health, armor, mana, and the whatnot, but experience sounds WAAYY too cheap already.
How so? two analogs and 6 buttons, plus two triggers should be plenty to cover what DG is doing. Heck currently I only use my mouse (and spacebar on keyboard). So thats two buttons + scroll wheel to zoom, plus space bar. That is easily done on a controller and it's not like the game is so fast pace that the mouse precision matters.
I'm going to venture a guess... no strike that. I'm pretty certain you suck at Demigod... horribly. No hotkeys + l
Okay... voice chat in games is probably the STUPIDEST ideas ever. CnC3, C-S, UT3 and a bunch of other games really exemplify this. Why? First of all, do you know what the point of voice chat is? To help your teamates better communicate with you? Hell no. Sure it is annoying to type, but it is also annoying to be forced to press and hold a button to speak. Also, games are pretty much the main reason why people can't spell today. Who the hell says "Watch out, they are in the woods co
You could have saved yourself some work and sold your games to Amazon. They now buy used games a la Gamestop AND they give you more money. Well, at least you got it already so I guess there isn't any harm done. And I suggest playing multiplayer. Some people in Skirmish are worst than bots, and it helps to know whether or not you can even play multiplayer before you start practicing.
Neilo's picture would be funny, except that it is so true that it's sad. Seriously. "VAMP LURD IS OP END OF STORY STFU ALL HATERZZZ LULULULU!!!!!" Just because you don't know a counter for a given strategy, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Uh... I don't think you can be "kicked"... disconnected?
No! Nerf everybody and everything except for my strategy and Demigod. Then, I can justly pwn as much as my overinflated ego expects me to.
Yeah, I'm getting a lot of more hanging after .105. It's really weird, as I use to be able to play fine. Hopefully, the new NAT facilitator gets up soon.
Quoting DoC_HammerHand, reply 7 The achievements give you more favor points (I think?), they should be reset every pantheon (at least I like it for myself so I can see what I have accomplished in the tourny thusfar). However, it would be nice if they kept an OVERALL achievement list to keep track of what you have done since you started playing the game. Yes, this seems self-evid
I dunno... you could farm some good artifacts fast with this tactic and dominate.
Maybe. Do you get experience for killing yourself? If not, then you will fall behind on experience, and farming gold fast won't help you if you are like 4 levels behind. Even if you do, the large death timer on higher leveled demigods is a huge price to pay. And remember, they don't stop getting gold when you die, in fact they may get assists for your death.
Have you checked out the actual multiplayer lately? Some people were saying that it has been slightly fixed. Gameranger also doesn't really work with Vista/7 unless you reinstall your whole OS, so that is a minus as well.
I can just see someone doing this on accident. I don't think this is a new "exploit," and that Stardock and GPG didn't see this one coming. It really isn't beneficial for you if you kill yourself unless you steal your enemy's kill by killing yourself. Killing yourself just for the gold isn't really worth waiting for the death counter and losing valuable time to gain experience or farm gold. But if you can kill yourself just before the enemy kills you, then that would be amazing, and I would m
Very nice. Great way to plan out your builds. Some minor errors though: You spelled Sedna Sedena on the tab. You spelled her name correct everywhere else though. Combat Health Potion's cooldown is .5 seconds, not 3.0 seconds as listed.
I really feel sorry for the people in Asia, though. I've seen people from Japan and Taiwan and they get between 400-500ms. It did seem like they were able to start a custom game with only asian people, but... that sucks.
It does... but who the hell plays anything on the PC besides Blizzard games and C-S in Asia? :) Anyways, I can play fine when my sister steals bandwidth on my 768kbits/s connection, which is amazing since I would normally lag like crazy in
Telling people to wait is fine, but honestly they have a right to express their opinion about not getting what was promised..
It is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. No one is ever going to take that away from you. However, if you want people to respect your right to express your opinions against the game, please don't be offended when the people in turn express their opinion about how you are a complete idiot and have no clue what you are talking about. <br /
Hey, they fixed the stats. They recorded my last game that I just played like 15 minutes ago, but not the other games before those. But those stats are sorted... very oddly. It seems odd that someone with the TB record of 1 and 0 should be above someone with 43 and 1.
That doesn't matter because it connects to other players in the same way.
I think it tunnels to other people's router or something like that, where it gets under all the ports and stuff and pretends that you are all under the same network.
WHY THE HELL DO THEY EVEN RECORD THE WIN % FOR A MAP?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??!?!? Seriously, why?
