I also have a question : what do these fields mean in the soundmusic data : isLooping FALSE (this one is pretty obvious) actionLevel 0.75 (i suppose it is related to how much battle is needed to activate the music) actionRange 0.35 (I suppose it is how much you have to zoom in to have the music activated) emotionLevel 0.0 emotionRange 1.0 </p

Just something, i wanted to know if there is a file that you can edit to make larger and longer fighter trails or if you have to use forge tools and all ? I would love to see them more in a battle [e digicons]:D[/e] so if i just had to open a file with my notebook and modifying a value, it would be great ! But i don't know where to look...

Personally, i think that there is no need for devs to make a campaign (as they don't seem very enthousiastic to do so) but if they could give us a tool to create campaigns with script, victory conditions, a tool to make ingame video, etc... that would be great. Empire earth, Rise of Nations, Age of empires II, all these games had a campaign editor that was used to make the official campaign. there were great tools.

The Distant stars mod includes sound modifications. From what i have seen, it consists of a folder with the new sounds 5called Sound) so you can download distant stars mod, trash the other files, and just keep the sound folder in the distant star folder. I suppose it should work. The sounds are quite inequal, though. Some are wonderful (the kol), some are quite bad (advent lasers tyou tyou)

Well, the fact is that Impulse works quite well for me, so i am quite ok with it. Nevertheless, i am a big fan of Rise of Nations and his Update button in the game menu : you just click on it, it checks if there is any update, download it and install it. Worked well. For me, it is the perfect system and i am not stupid : the reason Stardock didn't put this feature in the game is not a lack of skill : it's just because having to download impulse makes you more likely to buy other poructs from
but i have to say, that making a change to a video game because of a weak stomach or being an incredibly morally conscious person, is wasteful. if its for a good reason, that imporves the game, fine, but for the OP's reason, just a waste. im not being personal, but its the same old arguement with swear words, its a word! being upset by an assortment of letters, is silly, YOU are the only one who gives the word power, and YOU are the on

I didn't succeed in changing the name of the folder (even if i change my user name in the setting to avoid my little too frenchy ç in my first name) : the road to the folder mod still use the previous name François-Xavier in the mod options of sins. So, i decided to remove the pipeline folder according to your advices and the result was that : [IMG]http://pics.imagup.com/01/1236751289_ScreenShot_4.jpg[/
By the way, the advent superweapon is completely useless Most experienced players view the Advent superweapon as the strongest. It's not used to turn planets neutral, but instead to deprive defenders of their culture bonus while giving you your own on the attack. In a huge late-game fleet battle this is actually considered far more powerful than any other superweapon.
Well, i s

I downloaded galaxy forge. The only .exe i found into it was the galaxyforge.exe so i supposed it is what you call the dev.exe. I copied it into the /programs/stardock games/sins of a solar empire folder. Then i tried to launch it, it failed (the program stop to run, according to vista), so i went back to the galaxy forge folder, try to run it and it doesn't work either but i don't think i have been doing anything wrong.

The advantage of cruisers is that they are tougher than fragile siege fregates but personally, i would like to add it as a new feature to siege fregates as i find them not very useful in the actual state of the game.

Sadly, i extracted correctly : I have the volumetric 1.12a folder and inside it, i have the 6 folders Gameinfo, mesh, etc... all in the Mods-V1.15... The only idea i can come up with after hours is that it's like the system remember i first mistaked by putting the 1.12 instead of the 1.12a and continue to put the minidump error message. But it's superstitious as there is no way it could do that.

Mini dump problem again... What's wrong ?! I used the file sins for 1.1, mini dump, the volumetric effect and the bailkkgnith enhaned effet 1.12, minidump, bailgknight entrencher, minidump (well, the last one is not a big surprise, i have vanilla). Feel bored... I really don't understand why it does not work for me : vanilla v1.15, i put the folder in the folder mod-v1.15, then try to activate the mod and then, freeze and minidump ! Very frustrating... If anyone

I am also having the mini dump problem : i first mixed the version then checked and remove the 1.12 to put the 1.12a instead but it also failed (I have the vanilla version). I am trying to reextract and reinstall the mod again now. edit : It is still not working, even if it is the correct folder (mod v1.15) and file (1.12a) here is a photo of the error message who makes Sins shut down : http://www.imagup.com/imgs/1236543003.html
