computer does not recognize game disc in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I recently bought GC2 : Dread Lords at a local store. I came home, put it in the computer, and...nothing happened. I went to My Computer and tried to start the disc in drive D manually, and it said "Please insert a disc". I have registered the game here on the website, and it still will not work. Am I missing something? Is there something else that needs to be done for it to load? Thanks in advance for your help.
