Random facts... The sun reverses its magnetic field every 11 years. The officials blew the final call at the Superbowl. You shouldn't call an official an A-hole in the middle of a basketball game - you will get a technical . ... can you guess which one is a personal experience?

Chapter 2 June 2, 2239 Onboard the TAS Rising Sun - Somewhere in Hyperspace "Alert! Alert! Man your battlestations! The ship is under attack! Alert! Alert! Man your battlestation! The ship is under attack!" No one ever saw it coming. The ship seemed to materialize out of
I'm working on Chapter 2 right now - should be up in an hour or two... ... was hoping some of my fellow Tyrants would have dropped in and read this. I guess I'll just have to add some more action to the story!
Thank you. You've got some great ones yourself... [e digicons][/e] I hope to have the next chapter up within a few hours.
You may have noticed this already, but I have released the first chapter of my new AAR (ahead of time, too)... The Unsung Beginning Hope you guys like it. Please feel free to comment on it - it's my first AAR, and I'd like some feedback on what I did well on and what I have some room to improve on. Thanks and Best Regards.
It's a great AAR - hope you find your chapter and post it soon. On an offhand note, all of these fantastic AAR's have inspired me to write up one of my own. I just started, but I hope to have the first chapter or two done by the start of next week... ... emphasis on "I hope."
It seems you have linked the words "Altairs First Strike" to your testing AAR... Possibly some "accidental" advertising?[e digicons];)[/e]
Well, seeing as nobody has posted here in a few days, I guess that means it's time for me to bring up something random. I promise to not let anyone down... ... I've been combing through the AAR section of the GC2 forums, and I've come across quite a few incredible AAR's, many of which seem to come from themocaw. His AAR "Diary of a Terran Soldier" may be one of the greatest AAR's ever written. Just out of curiosity, what are my fellow tyrants favorite AAR's? Any other people t
Yeah - I just barely got the spot. I think it was 350 pts, but I could be mistaken. Either way, I'll have to do better in the long run to keep hold of at least one spot in the Top 3. Though I'm pretty sure KP's 116.9K will be pretty hard to beat.
But as to the OP,what would i like to see in GC3? The Metaverse.
Couldn't agree with you more! The Metaverse is definitely a must-have for GC3. ~ Cypher ~
OK? May I ask how you do that? I click on your character and it took me there to your character info.
You need to write the text, then highlight it with your mouse and click the "Link" button (it looks like a chain). Then, once you've clicked it, you must type/copy and paste the address of your character's profile. Just look at your character's profile, then highlight the URL, copy it, and paste it in the URL link-box.
Congrat's on the score! Looks like your empire is on its way to the top 20. Once you get that empire thread up-and-running, be sure to let me know so that I can place the Adepta into the "Active Empires" list over at the MVRC. As for my scores, I've improved a bit since I made this thread back in December of '08. Here's my main character... Captain Octavius ... as I said before,

Sorry for a late response - I've been busy with basketball. Anyway, "Active but Quiet" means that any empire on that list is not completely "Inactive" yet - they still have a few players posting scores every now and then - but a majority of their players don't talk on the forums anymore, and their empire threads are relatively quiet. As for having to be "Evil" to join an "Evil" empire - don't worry about that. If you prefer "Good," you're still welcome to join the ToE (or any
- Affectionately pats his computer - Oh, computer, you haven't failed me yet. - Visciously rubs his eyes - Don't test my patience, unworthy eyeballs.
How about now?
I edited my post above - my computer's running several programs right now, so it's a bit on the slow side. Your medals show up fine now - it just took awhile.
Welcome to the ToE Random70! Off-hand question, but have you set one of your characters to default yet? I don't see any medals on the bottom line of your post - you should at least have the ToE's 2nd place medal, along with any medals pertaining to that 100K game you played recently. Just wondering. Best Regards. ~ Cypher ~ Edit: Never mind - I can see them now. My computer (or my eyes) is running a little slow these days. <img style="vertical-align: ba
What exactly do influence points do?
They give you voting power every December for the UP proposals. Every point is essentially one point of influence over the decisions of the UP. That's how you measure up to other empires when it comes to voting time - whoever has more Influence Points has more voting power. ~ Cypher ~
Thanks mate! I've reset General Cypher, and my other character will be reset soon. I've set my newest character to default - notice the Suicidal badge? [e digicons][/e]
NOTICE: Added a link on how to implement Asteroid Mines in TA, as well as a link to general Military Strategy and Grand Strategy. More links will be coming soon. Best Regards. ~ Cypher ~
Hey all - I just got my highest ZYW yet. Since I'm terrible at getting pic's up, here's the link . ~ Cypher ~
Yes, the Drath are extremely strong, once they get the entire galaxy fighting each other. They can build up a huge treasury/economy from War Profiteering, and then spend that treasury on a massive Navy, social improvements, bribes to keep others from attacking them until the time is right, as well as increasing Production and Research capacity. They really don't come with many disadvantages.
"Declining" may have been a bit judgemental - I simply stated it like that because those empires are getting fewer and fewer scores posted to both the MV and AltMeta, but they are still posting scores. I meant for "Declining" to mean that the empire's aren't as active as they once were, but they haven't fallen into Inactivity yet. "Active but Quiet" may be a better way of putting it, though maybe not the most creative way of putting it. ~ Cypher ~ Edit: <span style="color: #ff
This may have been mentioned already, but what version of GalCiv2 are you testing this on?
NOTICE: I have added a third list to the OP entitled "Declining Empires in the Metaverse." You may notice that every empire that is now on this new list, I had previously considered "Inactive/Dead." I have placed them on "Declining" do to the recent flurry of game submissions that are eminating from these empires. <span style="font-size: small; font-family: comic sans ms,
