Actually, you do gain more production depending on your income.[e digicons]:grin:[/e] This is based on your production spending, the amout of production buildings you have built, and your overall income before spending.[e digicons]:grin:[/e] Not to mention Economic and Research Treaties.[e digicons]:grin:[/e]

By late game, I put my production slider down to 0%.[e digicons]}:)[/e] That's what helps generate mass quantities of cash late-game, and the only thing that deducts from it is military support costs. That's why I rush-buy those 300 capital ships per turn. So that I won't get cash docked out of my income unless absolutely necessary. In my opinion the stock market +25% economic boost "stacks" in a way. Let's say a planet makes 100 BC per turn without markets. With 1 market it makes 125 BC per turn. However with two markets it would make 156 BC per turn. Because 1/4 of 125 is 31.25, and you round that off to get 31, then you add 31 to 125 and then you get 156. I don't have the updates because my game is glitched. Not gameplay wise, but downloading stuff off the internet for it. My computer crashed the last time I tried it, and on top of that I had to reinstall the game. I found this out 3 months after my warranty expired. The store I get my games from also has a "restocking fee", so that if I gave it back before the warranty expired, I would have had to pay 40% of the game's original cost, just so that they can go put it back on the shelf. I don't have the updates so don't bother. I don't have TA either. Without hyperdrive, the colony module is not available (to the best of my experience). That should cover further speculation.

You don't need a mod to research everything from scratch. You do however start out with a few default social buildings (factory research, etc.). All you have to do is design a Custom Race, and in the "choose starting techs" section of the editor, don't put anything in there. Remove everything that is there already, and voila! You have a race that has to research everything from scratch!!! That includes colony/constructor/scout ships, you have to research Hyperdrive in order to obtain them.</p

For that matter did you read through it twice the way I asked, It sounds funnier the second time arround (if you imagine that Nothing is acctually nothing). And if you think your brain hurts Homsar, you should try taking Theology, History, Science, and Social Justice classes all in the same semester. We'll see how much your brain hurts then.
