Cant believe I forgot about this aspect and whats essentially happened is that I was doing well and all of a sidden 2 spies are on my building but I cant see the research which would enable me to nullify those spies, any ideas?

Hi I bought gciv2 plus all expansions a while ago however I havent got around to playing them until now, Im a newbie myself so I would be interested in knowing how you ended up setting things up when you get a good way of doing it
I have said alot on related issues in another thread but this highlights the extreme one sidedness of it all and I applaud stardock and you should have these people who ae trying to muddy your name for damages since in my view the only reason they are doing this is because of your good user orientated common sense practices you are blowing these one sided corporate orientated view points wide open. Its also very reasonable to permit people to play the game on all their home machines a
Yeah I agree lets punish all the people at the top for their scams, lets fine overpeer, lets hammer the biggest scammers, the people who do most damage(Not a single person on the street - sorry I cant believe anyone would remortely show any suppot for such a farse of a case, were partaking in destruction of internet freedom and I think unless the majoritys mentality on the web changes its going to get worse, I refer to a much more constrcutive post just after my own one, good points), if
I will have more faith when I see Judges, lawyers, MPs and Jurors sons and daughters getting done for doing it. Sorry about the double post that was unintentional but I will leave this thread be now :) Just feel strongly on this whole sorry state of affairs
yep agree, the message Im recieving is they are holes backed by the misguided politically correct(If this keeps going the vast vast majoity are going to lose out bad), dont get me started on this stuff, I spend thousands on software and hardware that I otherwise wouldnt have spent had it not been for the free nature of the web when I started using it, furthermore I realise that artists need to be paid but they should also realis
Hi, I have been on and off these forums a while now, I bought all of the gal civ games knowing that as an avid gamer if I wasnt keen on it initially that I would be as I got better, to explain to you I am not very good at strategy games/TBS that side of things, I am usually more into rpgs. Anyway I have also had imperium galactica 2 sitting there, now I did a lame thing I put it on easy, I am doing the Solarian campaign and it is maybe a bit to easy , on easy :) however Its let me und
Hey thanks :) sorry my bad I have enemy terrotiry quake wars as well! Im actually checking out divine divinity and it looks very good but I cant find a digital download to buy, as mentioned I just bought the latest gciv expansion but I have been going nuts again buying more lol just recently bought disciples II + all expansions + jagged alliance 2 with an expansion(I think I will like this, havent really played yet), just bought ethorlords 2 and I am about to buy 1 more game then I will probably
I am more or less in the same boat as the OP :) . My situation is I bought gciv 2 gold, played the dreadlords campaign, got owned repeatadly and gave up. I then months later decide I will buy TOTA so Im in a situation where I have yet to play DA and TOTA for the first time. Heres the thing I hate how I buy games and finish them fast as hell so I decided I would go through all the gciv 2 installments from oldest to newest. Suffice to say I just finished the dreadlords campaign(On normal
As a newbie myself I find this interesting, I did think factories were just planet wide but its good to now know. I always assumed research stations were global though is this the case ? I know it may sound dumb but just trying to make sure Im not missing something fundamental regarding research I also assumed worse ecco when a planet hardly has anyone on it. (Once again not meaning to come across dumb its just Im currently looking for holes in my game so I can finally get past the apoc
Even if someone could send me a save game or profile file(not sure how it works) just so I can load it to see what custom ships the person has built , this would also help me decide what technology I should be researching. Edit: I'm guessing the Apoca question had been asked many times then :). I just made the best of a couple of google results I found and pieced together a strategy from a non campaign faq on gciv 2 (Was still decent info though) . Just in case anyone in future
Silphius where did you learn all that stuff?? nice :) , Im actual trying to get a response from someone knowlegable in my DL Apocalypse thread but no joy yet. The reason I am here though is just to say Im going to copy all that text you have written! I have only read some of it but to my understanding I can create heaps of small hulled ships with no upkeep penalty at all? Also is it possible to make constructors on small hulls? its just thats what I may aim for in the campaign Im on (ap
No edit , just to say I did put a thread up but knowone has got back yet(Did see another 2 threaads but they didnt really cover specifics regarding research order and other stuff in the thread ) Anyway enjoy the game :) I am enjoying it but being new I really need to improve alot.
Do you know you can band ships into fleets? Im thinking you do but just wanting to check. If you stack a batch of ships exactly on top of each other , you then click a ship, next in the bottom center of the screen you should see all your ships as small icons, click all the ships(Highlight) you want in a fleet then click create fleet just to the right of that. You may well already know this though :) Im very new myself and if you get past the campaign apocalypse in the dreadlords campaig
Ok I managed to complete the mission but really worried about the apocalypse mission now as the one I just did well I basically avoided the dreadlord ships all together. I ended up comming to the conclusion that my more advanced ships werent worth it, even my cutom ones so I started churning out defenders, I got 2 fleets worth with 8 in each and just sat them near seth, I started building a transport and researching stellar marines, heres the thing I had always kept a ship near my closest planet
I just started another thread on this , I did a search in site and it wasnt until I googled a bit this thread came up, Im just curious what the optimum research path is for this mission also what numbers of certain types of buildings do you all build on the first 2 planets because I am struggling with this one. I actually have all gciv expansions but I havent played them because I dont want to skip any of my purchases campaigns .
AD I cant believe I forgot to mention this :) it must be because I havent long bought the product but I also have sins of a solar empire and am starting to really like it :)
Dread lords are a mega event not a minor race, ever seen minor races invading your systems and destroying your ships in 1 shot Dread lords are easy to kill once you get spies on their planet and get some Mass Drivers and lots of shields on your ships and put them in fleets that are big with expert logistics.
Hi I am a gciv 2 newbie, have all the expansions and am playing the first gciv 2 dreadlors game initially. I am struggling on achilles heel, Actually
Yeah the guy OP asked a fair question, I cant really say how it compares to starcraft but lets look at what sins has. It has a great research tree It 3 hours or more on games and if you get someone who isnt going to disconnect you get really long fun and epic games (In saying that you can get the odd game over alot faster but I wouldnt say its the norm) The fighting is more realistic in the sense systems with resource asteroids in them can become war hotspots and can be a warzon
Hi as some of you may know I know have gciv 2 + all the expansions, I bought the gold version 1 year back approx and this is the first of me getting around to playing. Well I did play before once and I just wasnt fast enough or researched in the correct order to enable me to handle the dread lords. If I remember correctly after this mission there is a really tough mission with dreadlords due. In regards to in game as far as I can see theres a planet at the top right of a medium map th
Woe nice! that you have played so many of these games and can say that. Its that dam 5 of 5 review , curiosity is getting the better of me lol. I think I will keep going with dread lords atm though but its gonna be temptation hell :) Wish I hadnt read of the review :)
Just to add , I do have some sympathy for the likes of SD , but the practices of some of the bigger companies are doing you no favours and look when it comes down to it if a product is good, it will sell, you will make a profit and anything else is just greed and an attempt to back consumers who already have extorionate costs of living and dont all have the luxury of hig paid jobs into a corner.
As for desktop software and also when you think of the windows vista ultimate scam then Im sorry but the licenses are so expensive that many could never afford them, some may be students and need certain software for studying and many other reasons but the fact is until the industry has a reality check on the gross overpricing of software licenses then they only have themselves to blame. In regards to PC gaming , so many companies are treating the end user like criminals where they have
Regarding multiplayer well sins of a solar empire has multiplayer, granted its a differant game but its dam awesome, heres the thing though on these forums I see people asking for multiplayer and on sins they have that, the devs have been working for ages on a content patch as well as bug fixes and because they are taking there time people are upset and some are saying just concentrate efforts on single player. (I love sins btw and I just think if I worked for stardock I would be dam confused be
Hi , Maybe some of you noticed my thred asking about which game to get? Well as some of you may know I after practically a whole day of looking into stuff I bought TOTA expansion, I think this means with me having gciv 2 gold I have gciv2 + every expansion and I also own sins of a solar empire! As explained the initial plan since I havent had much time to play gciv 2 at all was to do the original game + expansions in order. Now I come on these forums and see a thread up from f
