I read the link, thanks. There is a problem however. It says 2. In AI race customization screen at game creation, pick the style you used when you made your templates, edit it, and save it under a new name. The "create ship style button" is greyed out and I can't seem to edit any of the ships in the race customization screen. I can change the colours, pick major ship styles but that's it. I have the gold edition and play DA.
Ya it is. But it still sucks! Anyway, why are there no ship packs for Star Trek or Star wars here. I see lots of logos but almost no ship packs. Is it because of copyright infringement?

Hello, I'm relatively new to the forum. I just got the game and it's amazing. Lots of strategy. The only bad thing is that it takes so much time to play! Anyway, I made some custom star trek ships, probably like a large part of the people who play. They look okay, nothing great compared to some of the pics i saw in the best ships of 2007, 06. I got the game a couple of days ago. I started to make an enterprise ship in the ship designer but ran into some problems. I see that i can rotate the parts, but getting them onto each other the way i like is nearly impossible. If i take my mouse cusrer, for example, and mouse over the red dot on the hull the part will stick there perfectly. However, if i try to get the part to stick halfway down it's length it becomes almost impossible. I can zoom in and out. I can rotate. But i can't get the c
