I haven't slept for several days, and I think its because Brad will not acknowledge this thread. X-(
slurple
Im aware of that, but I like to scroll by using the edge of the screen too.
I love the new 'zoom-to-mouse feature,' however the zoom-in and out speed is too slow for me. Is there any way to adjust the zoom speed? If not, could this be implemented in a future patch? Also, my scroll speed is set to 100% yet its too slow, especially on larger maps. When zoomed all the way out, the scroll just crawls... I realize that it is covering more area, but it would be nice if we could scroll faster when zoomed out. *edit* I am referring to scrolling by moving your mou
Anyone know? Im curious too.
Never underestimate the modding community. MP mods have been made for games that were never intended for MP. GTA for example. Someone even managed to make a multiplayer mod for Oblivion. However it was barely functional, and the creator stopped working on it. Nevertheless, it did allow players to connect and interact with each other. Why not give us the tools and let us try? Unless of course this would require the source code.
I was being sarcastic. I am a professional troll. /end. kplzthx
sorry guys, im so stupid
What kind of tools would the community need to develop a multiplayer mod? Please let us try. How hard could it be to create a simple lobby system that allows players to connect to each other. You can already fake a MP game on a single computer by allowing a friend to control an AI. A simple lobby system could make this possible between multiple computers. I know nothing about programming. Someone else please provide the technical argument explaining why programming a mod like this
Also, are there any known issues with this patch? Why is it 'alpha'?
If I start a game with this alpha patch, will it be compatible with the final patch next week?
Best feature ever. Shame on you for waiting this long to implement it.
This would be far more convenient. Something like the zoom system in Sins. Is this a planned feature for the future?
Anybody played this? Seems like a really interesting game. If you have played it, can you please give us a review? http://www.gamersgate.com/index.php?page=product&what=view&sku=DD-PARKAN2 http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/parkan-2/overview http://jaguarusf.b
The worst thing about SE 5 is the turn times. With only 5 empires, after about 100 turns, you can be looking at several minute turn times.

I've given up hope. I think Brad has recently realized how great of a task implementing the new super-duper-unprecedented AI is going to be. Remember when they were debating releasing TA last December?
The GeForce 9600 GT costs like 150 bucks. With that card every medium-fast PC sold in the last 2 years can play Crysis at medium details at least and all other available games on high details.Yes, it costs a little but its just as expensive as 3 games. So if there are like 5-6 games using this kind of graphics I'd upgrade. The Crysis demo actually defaults to the high settings on my 9600, and I haven't had any problems with it. The framerate is acceptable for my taste, but people who are p
I haven't played TA in over a month and a half. I remember Brad talking about some super-duper AI improvements that were supposed to be implemented. Have these improvements been implemented? All I see in the patch notes are "TWEAK: Various AI changes."
unacceptable, i want my money back This is a JOKE....er....Right !!! Nasty
It is not a joke, gimme the AI updates. right now. kplzthx

It seems much cheaper to upgrade the defenses. They are generally smaller, so you can fit more on any given ship.
The wattage of a power supply isnt as important as the amps on particular rails. I believe graphics cards utilize the 12v rail. 350 would probably be sufficient with a strong 12v rail, assuming he isnt running a dozen hard drives as well.
I get random crashes just about everywhere too. Usually before or after an invasion. The crashes seem to happen more frequently if I am playing a game that I saved before I won. I often save the game about 5 turns before winning, so I can go back and try different things. I've also heard that loading a saved game of the game you are playing (while you are playing) can corrupt the save. Its supposed to be fixed, but when I do this, the crashes seem to happen more often.
How was it fixed?
I saved the game immediately before invading the last planet and it didnt crash. Same thing was happening later when I tried to conquer the Yor. Saving immediately before invading seemed to prevent the crash again (crashed over a dozen times before I tried saving immediately before the invasion).
