Guys depression has got the best of me again... I don't think it'll be like last time though. I will not be returning.

I got to admit, I'm beginning to turn away from Galciv2 because of this pretty serious error (Just after i'd gotten back into it too). You get really into a game and about half way through it totally corrupts on you and you feel so disappointed that you don't want to do it all over again. I'm finding myself becoming more addicted to Age of Empires and call to power 2 rather than galciv2 which is quiet sad :(. Is there anything at all that can be done to fix this
Wow, I heard about it too. Glad to know your safe, Not so glad that they managed to get away with another bombing.
I guess i'm restricted from playing Gigantic maps then. Well I can't really complain I was on my 7th year when it cut out so the score would have been going down. Thanx for updating us on that Kryo. Question though, If you PC has a stronger gaming capacity (Aka it's got more features, more up to date hardware and driver software) would the game have a larger memory capacity?
IGNORE, forgot how old this is. [e digicons][/e]
oh so that's how you like to play it. Is this a contest of my horse is bigger than your horse? [e digicons]}:)[/e] Meh, A good shielded ship can reflect the doom ray Easy and they don't have to reload to stop it again. Where as missile defence is very costly and requires you to reload the defences each time. Besides, as I recall beam weapons do minimal damage of the 3 catagories of weapons, Missiles doing the most. I don't really have a come back for the
In my case, the problem was, that I had too much and too big ship textures in my mod. Countless textures with a size of 1024 x 1024 pxs need very much of memory. In 'my' mod were many ships from different star trek and star wars mod files out of the library, and other sources. After I reduced the texture sizes the 'out of memory' prob was gone. BTW I also deleted the HRG mod.
sorry to burst your bubble the only modifications I have a

Good luck seth [e digicons][/e]
After all, a military conquest ought to actually reward military action.
A penalty for every lose and a bonus for every win, and for using a terror star all ships, planets and such should be taken into acount (yes and penaties for getting your own forces in the blast) then double the score earned. I think i've gone a bit mad with the terror star Idead but bonus and penaties would be good. they should include that in galciv 3, (if they make one) if not a galciv2 update.<
look at the bright side, at least he's not leaving the MV. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Today's lesson in the Exhalted Art of Advanced Smitology: If you use the Torian tech tree with Good Alignment, you get +60 defense! You need Xeno Ethics, the Empathic Tactical Center, and all the techs with added defense bonuses. Obviously, you want all of your warships to be loaded with Zero Point Armor to take full advantage of this.
Keep in mine anyone who aligns with evil gets the opposite benefit. Meaning your weapons will get a major boost. To take full

Quiet useful. Besides accention is quiet a dull way to win, nothing beats the thrill of Crushing one's foe beneath ones feet. then again same goes for allies and anyone foolish enough to think your litteraly are their ally.
either way it's a glitch that needs to be solved. I don't wanna spend my time researching a tech which I find out later is useless to me
First of all, wb ferrel. Second of all, The game i've been working on went corrupt after a failed autosave. I swear those autosaves are a menace, anyways I lost it all. previous autosave went corrupt and my main autosave. says there wasn't enough memory to save and it crashed galciv2 right in the middle of saving... [e digicons][/e] is there any way to turn previous autosave off? or will i just have to turn autosave off all together and prey to god my
I vote B. No on ever admits when their stumped when their in a position of superiority.
no problem. I keep hitting the -19k mark every time I buy one too many of my custom ships. Their beautiful but they chew through credit like no other ship in the game. I only have a grand total of 4 huge ships and 9 large. that alone took me a years worth of credit to make. My income now is 3000bc so that's a fair bit with my methods of aquiring wealth. as for loyalty it's ditched, I have full economy, influence and Diplomacy. I'm a super manipulator which i'm loving and I have the un
i'm using the Terran tech tree, i'm aligned with evil and I have researched malice. I have a lot of Traded techs from other races though so it's sort of a mix, might have aquired it from another race. I'll check next time my game works. I think i remember something about a galactic achievement dealing with mind control... but for some reason rehab center springs to mind and i know that's not right.... grr frustrating.
...When do most of you research the various types of colonization? ...
to be perfectly honest I don't worry too much about them at the beginning. Because a lot of my stratagy revolves around building a strong economy and earning big dollars for the war budget i find that keeping a colony ship near them, researching the technology, then selling it on whilst there are still avaliable planets can get you a good 5000 at least from every race (depending on how many worlds to
I find tech trading to be a valuable tool. Means I don't have to focus on my research so much and gives me time to build a strong and stable economy. I find if your economy/influence is strong you generally cannot fall behind other races, dispite what the ladder in the quaterly says about you.
OMG! I saw his book in the shops yesterday. I almost bought it but I was short on cash. it's the first book of the void trilogy. it look interesting, i'm gonna have to go back tomorrow and buy it :S. On another note I just finished a book series which wasn't too bad. It had some interesting prospects on humanities development. The orphan's Triology, can't remember the author. the first book was Echo's of Earth. If you google it im sure you'd find it.
hm... unusual... I never really took notice maybe i should in my next game. The technology sells well to other cultures though, maybe that's where the extra 20% comes from? (in some sort of abstract way)
