where are you namus? where are you!?!?!?!?
Acewing13
I am defenitly going to get this! The demo works fine on my computer, and my birthday is coming up. :CONGRAT: cant wait. wish they would let the demo play longer though. ;p
My country would be the Western Hemisphere Alliance. It would be composed of both North and South American continents. we would rely on mostly air and naval power to combat the evil Russian Empire. We would use renewable resources like solar, wind, and fusion power. We would run on a war economy, because we are trying to win WW3. we would base our government on a Starship Trooper-type government, only allowing those who have served their country in honor.
Ok, sorry. I get it now. ;p duh!!!
I don't get it.
that would be nice, but soon, somebody is going to come in and say this wouldn't work because it is just adding micromanagement. but I like what Thenightguant said, [quote]Well it does kinda fit in with the idea of the game. You have alot of control in GC2 but not alot of fine detail control. You can build spys and send them to planets, but you can't dictate what they do there. You can design ships and send them on their ways, but you don't pilot them. Where MOO put you all over th
Dune is a great book. So is Marrow. Arthur C. Clarke is a great authour as well.
I am suffering from withdrawl symtoms. Come back Namus!!!!! :SNIFF!:
when will you be back?
Just read about hydrogen sulfide. Probably wouldn't work right now. [quote]Well, we know they can make hydrogen sulfide (sewer gas anyone?) While that could make a decent fuel, the down side is pretty severe - a leaking tank could kill everyone nearby. I've heard various things about hydrogen-producing bacteria, any (or none) of which may be true. Is it just me, or has this topic degenerated into various ways we could try to power cars using a wind-up key? If it goes that far,
Yeah, maybe rig the gas pedal to work as a pump. Anyway, has anyone heard about the idea of using bacteria for making hydrogen? Heard about it on the Science Channel. Has anyone else heard of it? Or am I just crazy? (which could be true) ;)
Just got it for christmas. pretty neat, although if you ask me, they need to put out more games for it.
Sweet. "Too big to be a ship"? sounds like Star Wars.
yeah for the alliance!! take those Dregin down.
I think that it might be that Stardock changed the date for the release of TA. It was supposed to come out this month, if it hadn't gotten changed because everyone wanted more "polish" on the game instead of using lots of updates later.
Have any of you heard of solar updraft towers? link is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_updraft_tower Put a couple of these in the Sahara is what I was thinking of doing. Every type of energy here on Earth is indirectly solar energy if you think about it. The future of energy production is doing what the sun does, fusion. Until we do that, capturing solar energy is what we need to do.
Can't you use the terror star to blow up a single planet?
Good idea starstriker1. Sending an asteroid at anyone's planet would really ruin their day.
Good job. I for one agree with everything Namus said.
Civilization 4 is a pretty good game for turn-based or as you say, "tactical" game.
I like this.
The way I understand it is that if a ship could create a big space time distortions in front and behind the ship so the space behind would be pushing the ship and the space in front would be pulling. The problem is that to create such a thing, it would take the energy of (what I heard of)10 suns. (and I think that is being generous) But with Anti-matter, who knows?
just got it on Saturday. my mom got mad because i was sick and infected the key board because i played the game for 4 hours straight. man this is a good game.
What does the aquatic transport Station do?
