I am afraid I must agree. The idea is nice, but to make a clever AI without exploits is very difficult.

I like the idea of cloaking device as it was in Master of Orion II. It was a single technology there. Cloaking device was useless in combat, but cloaked ships were invisible on the map, unless you were on the same position as cloaked ships (orbiting the same planet). How could it be implemented in GC2? One cloaking device would decrease the detection range of enemy ships by 1 pc. It would be for a tiny ship (hullsize = 1). For each bigger hullsize for the same effect the number of cloa
drrider: Too bad for you. I agree that the second book was the weakest of Dune series and it was a little bit sad too. But the other books were perfect. Every single book of that series was aimed on something else. So if you expect it will be like The Dune, you will be disappointed. But I am very happy to have the whole series at home (including books of Herbert's son). They are definitely worthy of reading.
How about restarting the scenario/map? The damage to savegame may have already been done.
This task is quite difficult to implement. How can a program detect, whether the topic is ON/OFF topic? It is too difficult to implement. Something similar are trying to do spam-blockers and a no one from them works with 100% precision. If you install such feature, you can prohibit some game-related topics and some non related will be allowed. I can imagine an "ignore thread" button. Such thing can be implemented - you dislike the topic, click on this button and it will never be show
IMHO a bad idea. This would not add anything to the game, but it would require massive programing and changes in AI.
You did not understand. He has an internet connection, but on a computer, where he has no administrator rights and so he cannot install anything. A download client that does not need to be installed can help him or the possibility to download a patch using a web browser.
