I've been wondering. If I only have DL but not DA and buy Twilight - does that mean I've got all the new features (Megaevents, asteroids,...) included or is only thre campaign missing or other stuff too. Has it been tested for such an upgrade or will it just collapse? Laslty: My DL is in German. I dare assume that Twilight is in English - will the result be German, English or gibberish?

Back from holiday. It took me a while to find the new round of gaming. I'm not complaining since I've still got plenty of time. To the Team C-ers: I may have been somewhat rude on this Team-only forum thing because I didn't see the point first. I do now - but how do I get in?
I reported a 6000 credit game earlier. Since I 'm not going to see my computer for the next 4 or so weeks - take that game.
What do I need to register for at that Core of yours? I thought this is about playing a computer game and not about marrying a random bunch of Canadians?
I'm just too stupid to post it
I'm posting a result, but I used the wrong character somehow (how do I switch?). I leave it up to neilo whether it is accepted anyway. It's not glorious anyway: 6000 points for a tech win with the required criteria (which I hopefully translated correctly into my German version of the game) And it took 5 years (+8 or so weeks). You can see it under the_butter_flies

As long as the name is not rude, I'll go along with anything. Oh, and if we need a team captain, anyone will do - anyone but me that is. I can't even properly quote you other guys in the forum...
metaverse is EST, isn't it?
I may be somewhat late - because I was gone with a class for a week but if there's still a chance to join any team? I just realized that I'll find my serial number somewhere. This may take take a day or two - I'll call my character something with butter in it. Anyway a game per month can't be too hard
stylish logo - wow!
As for DA specials, I was just asking because it sounded so scary. Kind of like: You can play in a league with the others but be aware that they all have super abilities (whatever that is). On the other hand, I'll just have to take you on with your super abilities - I'll manage (you learn that on TV - normal guys usually win against people with super abilities - especially good people like me against EVIL people like you). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0
I don't object to DA things - I just have no idea what you are talking about, and I couldn't join games where DA stuff is mandatory.
League Tactic: Never Submit! You spent a lot of time thinking about people who didn't submit any games. How about people submitting more than one game per month per character? I assume that only the best game counts. It wouldn't surprise me if nobody posted a game for the first 28 or so days of our league, because obviously posting a game is a giveaway for the others - for example which time you have to beat to get the bonus point. So if you save your nearly ended game(s)
That's why in Germany you can buy this game when you are 6 years old. I guess today's six-year-olds think comitting genocide with ABC weapons is fine, as long as you don't see the gore. DoN't believe it? Check www.usk.de (it's in German though)
Three remarks: 1. Fortune has blessed me with characters aplenty, so I shall be able to participate in the league. 2. Well I have no idea to use those pretty quotes the rest of you do, so I'll just do it the old fashioned way ElWhopO speaks about "East vs. West" - I'm not sure what he/she means. Is East = East coast? Or is this some kind of Huntington-style clash of civilizations with the Western world against the Orient? Being German myself, I fit into neither of the two c

Wales? I don't speak Gaelic! On the other hand the grass really is said to be greener there....
I'm still interested in the league - but I looked at ghostwes starting point again which was that success of an empire was related to the number of members. The easiest solution for that is to work out an alternative formula. The obvious one: points/members=Empire success points has an obvious drawback though: Superplayers like Wyndstar or Mumblefratz might not be willing to work together with "loser" members (like me) as we would only spoil their scores. So if
The team thing sounds REALLY good to me. Tell me if you ever get it started. A few thoughts though: What happens when the 21st century interferes - real life sometimes just suddenly appears out of nowhere?! May I suggest that only the best 3 or 4 out of the six scores are counted towards the end result and then there could be some option to take a week off or so without you completely ruining it for your team. This is still a game, as my wife keeps telling (is that spelled with
Oh yihoo, I've joined. My old bones rejoice. Looks like I'm the first Plebejan in this empire. Well - I wouldn't mind becoming a senator- too, if your excellence Lord Ghost of Wes don't mind (please).
Well, I'd like to ask permission to join your Empire, too. I am of age and my computer is definitely slow enough for this empire - I'm just glad this is a turn-based strategy game...
The Problem was rather simple: I usually play on normal map - and since I am such a cultivated guy, they all pretty soon felt my influence so I never got cozy enough with anyone for an alliance for ages. But I've now tried some remote species and it worked
Thank you!
I've been trying to make alliances, and it used to work, but for a couple of games nobody has been willing to ally with me - even though it is enabled in the game conditions at the start. I trade the tech alliances to potential partners and they seem to like me - our relationship is "herzlich" - German for cordial (two better than neutral). Still nobody allies with me -or with each other. Is it a bug? Oh it's version 1.5 DL. Thanks for your reply and some help to fix it!
