Ah, you're right I had it confused with Tolmekian's.

Hey keep up the good work! I haven't played GC2 for years but your mod made me reinstall it again.
You do have to change the values of all the techs. However, there's actually a pretty easy way to do this. I made a post on it a while back: https://forums.galciv2.com/316133

Or they'll just stop publishing games for the PC.

Out of curiosity, what is the nature of the in-game ads? If it's just on loading screens (which you have to sit through anyway), or the occasional in-game billboard or vending machine... so what? If you don't like it, don't buy it. That's your choice. But don't get pissed at other people if they don't join your moral crusade.
Sounds like a personal problem. But in all seriousness, the reason the forums aren't full of complaints is that the problem is rare. As far as I can tell, the memory leak has been fixed. I play on immense galaxies with "common" settings. It sounds like the problem is on your end. How much RAM do you have, and what operating system are you using?
Surely the people who create the artwork and effects aren't the same people who program the game mechanics and AI, right? I'm not sure what the fuss is about. If you don't like playing with the 3D graphics, then you certainly have the option not to (as you obviously know.)
Can't that be said of any AI, in any game?
What's broken about it?
Oh, and how does technology theft figure into all of this?
I do have a question, though. Once you reach the highest espionage level with a civilization, does it remain for the rest of the game, even if you reassign all your spies elsewhere?
Starstriker, the cost of agents now becomes much more reasonable because you don't have to risk losing them just to gather intelligence. You no longer have to constantly replace your agents as they get nullified every few turns.
The population displayed only counts taxpaying citizens of your empire. There are many more people living in your empire who have not been granted citizenship. Citizens are drafted into military service when necessary.
Occasionally a +100% farm bonus tile might be useful, but very rarely is it worthwhile to build a farm on the +300% tile. All that extra population brings with it a massive approval penalty. I know that avoiding this is as simple as not building a farm on such tiles, but why not tweak the bonuses to make the tiles more worthwhile? +50% for green and +100% for yellow would be good, I think. On a somewhat related note, I've always wondered why there are no economic b
Oh, this is with the latest version of Twilight of the Arnor, by the way.
There's already a thread on it, but it definitely qualifies as a bug and will hopefully get more attention here. https://forums.galciv2.com/318189 Basically, the Drengin, Yor, and Korath AIs refuse to expand beyond their home sector. They'll take planets that are very close by, but that's it. This isn't due to any lack of scouting, lack of habitable planets, or lack of colony ships. I've seen the Drengins refuse to colonize a planet in t
Piznit, they generally take the planets in their immediate sector, but not beyond that. Even the Arceans, with their speed penalty, will expand more quickly. And they are building colony ships. And while their home system is in kind of a lo
I have also noticed this. Consistently the Yor and Drengin expand extremely slowly, if at all.
Yeah, it's best to build on a factory planet, preferably one with an influence bonus tile. +50% influence on a bonus tile is pretty significant.
Ooh, how did I miss this. I, too, am interested in ToA/Immense compatibility.
Star Wars Galaxies, the prime rival to World of Warcraft
LOL. This is a pretty delusional spambot.
Yeah, AI is worse.
Even if you could do this, surely it'd be much, much easier to convince your allies, who you have better relations with, to declare war on your enemies? Besides, being underhanded and backstabbing is usually only fun with real people. There is no pleasure to be derived from deceiving AI opponents. The thrill of the lie itself isn't there, and the satisfaction of finally pulling it off isn't there.
Dunno why people can't just design a ship to look like a carrier, say it's a carrier, and put it in a fleet with a bunch of fighters.
