only 2 thing come to mind. a) Game fault, the game was corupted when it was installed and you might need to reinstall it. b) a similar thing happened to me exept it affected my screen, i dont know why it didn't go on but it annoyed me. i got a new computer and it's running fine now. if this is the case then there is now way i can help you.
tell me the features your computer has. example: windows XP dual core 256 graphics card etc...

i play Dread lords, i play on surcidal, i have play over 20 game (not on metaverse), and so far the AI seem to go for the high class planets first then the low class.
you can also check the forums area, i have seen three people put game journals on there and people can read them. 'Epic war!', 'Listen to the tale of the alantians' and 'epic game!'. read them they are good.
cool... but i have run into a problem. i tried to build a bunch right along my trade route but i keep running out of starbase logistics before i finish building along all my trade routes.
OMG! im not the only one. i cant download anything ether! my serial wont work, my multimedia wont work, my metaverse wont work and everytime i download an upgrade for galciv2 dread lords i have to uninstall the game oompletely and reinstall it. just to get it working again. mine was bought from a huge game store (it's over seas as well) in melbourne so it wasnt an illegal copy. one whacked up game, i barely works for me.

but if you destroy the colony ships then you will be basicly be declaring war with every race on the map. didn't think of that did you. another tactic is colonize in the opposite direction to the others. another is colonize all the useless planets (class 9 and under) that the AI don't want.

it works on small maps and i use a tiny hull with no attachments on it. beside it's only a segestion, there are many other tactics you can use.
holy shit! i never thought the drengin to be that strong! the strongest enemy i have versed was the Hydrogue! (I made the race myself) then again the hydrogue have diamond hulls and the capability to destroy planets. but even they would have met their match when versing the Drengin. now i want to have an game like yours and put it on metaverse.
only your ships can share the same parsect, an alien ship cant move onto a parsect that already has your ships on it.

open your game and and click on metaverse. login and after that select your character and click play. then do what you would normaly do if you were playing a single play. play the game and when you have finished playing your game it will ask you if you want submit your score. click yes if you want to add the score to your metaverse, no if you dont feel like adding that score to your metaverse.

i'm missing something here arnt i? are you saying that people with serial number can steal other programs of the metaverse? i didn't mean to sound angry, i just get a little carried away with arguements. i can see the logic in serial numbers. im just a little upset with mine, it keeps coming up as invalid. is it possible to get a new serial? coz i really need to update this game. Ps. i have already conntacted stardock about my situation and they have no answers.

sure... you might want to write this down. follow these instuctions: 1) to find my empire click on my name and click "view LostHero's profile" 2) click on the character last armada to view the details. 3) in the top right corner you will find a logo that looks like a land base assault and click on it. 4) you should be looking a my empires details, click join empire and assign you character to my empire. if your having trouble just tell me and i'll try and help.
