No need to make it so complicated. If he has registered the game, he can go to the Stardock store, log in with his Stardock-account, and find the serial key (along with a fully updated installer of the game) under My Downloads.
I was giving him options. If his was registered with Impulse, it's not so easy. Often, it's less frustrating to find the information yourself rather than waiting on support. &

Have you ever registered it with Stardock? If so, you can log on with the same email you used to register it and get the updates from them. Have you ever played a Metaverse game? If so, you can go to your endgame.sav and open it with a text editor. Manually scan for your Metaverse name and your serial number will be close by. Otherwise, you might be able to email Stardock Support and send them a saved game and they might be able to retrieve the serial number

Is ANNO one of those Facebook games? Mafia Wars was my last Facebook game, but there was another MMO I remember getting into once upon a time. That's right, Evony. We played it as a team and the bots finally got us. I felt like setting up bots was giving too much of my life away to a game. We did pretty well against them for a while though. I liked the Yor in DA. In TotA on suicidal, the Torians are incredibly powerful. That super breeder abilit

Well, that was going to be my last game for a while. But then my wife kinda goaded me into upping the difficulty to suicidal. So now there's a new game in progress. I really like the unique tech trees. I'm usually top dog on tech, but that's not easy to do on suicidal. The Torians are on top of everything by a wide margin and I've been buying trade goods from them. I've been threatened several times by the evil races,

I especially liked the tournament games. Here's my latest from TotA. I finally got through the military victory conditions.

Have fun with it, Neilo. I'm doing a game on the next difficulty up from crippling. I forget what it said, but it might be painful. It's been at the stage where I could just get alliances with the remaining AIs, but I'm trying to reach a military victory. I have to buy 4 huge ships each turn to avoid the economic penalty and my military is growing beyond usefulness. I'll try to stick it out for the military victory. No promi
I'm right there with you on that, but you're ahead of me so far. I'm only back up to Painful now and have no idea where I'll end up. I'd bet Suicidal will be too much though. I'm on my 3rd game since firing up TotA and a lot of it'
hahaha, so anti climatic!! I've been playing the campaign, i had never done it. Looking forward to playing some more normal games though..
Have fun with the campaign! I started one a long time ago, but went to sandbox before finishing it. I'm running a new TotA game on tough. I'm liking the AI much better. The NPCs are actually pushing back and pretty much the entire galaxy has bee

With all this talk of GC3, I figured I'd load up TOA and give it another shot. Not a metaverse game or anything. I played on normal difficulty and was disappointed in how poorly the AI did. I guess playing suicidal for so long spoiled me. Anyhow, I didn't build a single military ship. I thought I had influence victory turned off, but I won by influence fairly early. I'm not sure how that happened. I wasn't even through the tech tree

If it's been registered by someone else, you won't be able to transfer it to yourself. If it's new, you can contact Stardock Support and open a ticket. https://www.stardock.com/support If you can return it to Amazon, you can get the ultimate version from the Stardock Store for 20

Who wants to go through manuals written in some unfamiliar language and then poorly translated into your local language to simply send a text? The more intuitive a device is, the better reception it'll receive from the market. Being an iPhone user, I have zero exposure to android devices. But yesterday, my mother-in-law got a Kindle Fire HD and asked me to set it up for her. There was no manual. One wasn't needed. She was surfing the web and chec

Hi folks! Yeah, I have Win 8 on my gaming computer, but not on my regular media computers. I find that web surfing is easier with Vista and Win 7, but Win 8 is a nice gaming platform. I'm looking forward to Win 8.1 later this month. Hopefully, it'll have some of the lost functionality back. If not, I'm ok with Vista and 7. I haven't reinstalled GalCiv 2 onto my gaming computer yet, but might sometime later. Definitely looking

Thanks for the link, flagyl! :) I removed adblock plus and replaced it with disconnectme. Some screens seem to load about the same speed as before, but one of my favorite websites is gocomics. With all the flash ads and trackers, it used to take several seconds to load a page. Now, it's less than a second. They claim up to 27% faster, but in that case, it's more like 3 or 4 times faster.

It looks to me like you're on the right track as far as colonization goes. The game is intimately linked to population and economy. Colonization can have a huge negative impact on money. Keep your current colonization strategy. It works. The key is population growth. Try to keep your less populated planets at 100% morale as long as you can. This will devastate your near term economy, but it'll recover with you

I don't believe the "Tournament" mode is active any more. However, your Metaverse profile clearly shows your character, so you should be able to play a Metaverse game. I'd suggest requesting help from Stardock's Customer Support. https://www.stardock.com/support/ They should be able to help. The links are on the right hand side of the page. <p

Wow. Low cost? According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics , $10k in 1980 (when the Z-2H was introduced) is worth $28,219.78 in 2013 dollars. I'd like to have that much to spend on a computer. If I did, I'd use it to take a vacation instead. :)

OK, so I tried to force myself into liking Win8. While it's not the evil scourge from hell, It's simply annoying to use. It's not any specific big thing, but a whole myriad of tiny annoyances. They add up after a while. I reverted back to Vista64 and my media stuff, Acronis and CAD all work again. It's easier to shut programs off when I'm done with them and I can easily restart or shut my computer off when I want to. I'll p
