The final TA will have a map editor. So I guess then we can manually generate all the maps we like.

Dear Stardock, please mail me a bag of F5 keys, I've run out of spare ones. Ship using international overnight express please.
days, we've had a bad germ going around the office, so some of the key players are out...but we'll be trying our best to
Hah, I knew it. Fighting germs has a higher priority than fighting bugs ;)
The fantasy game's a TBS, not an RPG.
Like HOMM?
I don't think it's broken, per se. GalCiv2 is the only game that makes my computer do this. Other games like Crysis don't. I would think GC2 wouldn't need more resources than that game.
If a computer restarts to overheating, it's broken. Obviously, not all programs are capable of stressing the system so much that it overheats. But on a proper system you could even install programs which would deliberately try to overheat without causing any problems. For exam
Broken hardware, I'd return it to the manufacturer if warranty hasn't expired yet.
Since this is a single-player game, a good AI makes or breaks this game. So, please take your time and make the AI really really smart. Think Skynet or so ;)
What difficulty are you playing on? Edit: Nvm, missed that you were on masochistic
Thanks for the info on my favorite race from DA. Hope it's not a too long wait, or I feel I'm becoming attached to the Arceans meanwhile ;) Manipulating Dark Energy? Sounds like magic. Then gain, according to Clarke's third law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Uninstall all virus scanners, firewalls, toolbars, download accellerators and whatever. They all got lots of DLLs which get loaded into every single process. Each taking a good chunk away from the available 2GB.
I found the wiki too outdated, the forums were a better source of information for me.
TA is not finished yet, it's still in Beta stage.
You sir got some broken hardware. No amount of exception reports will fix it.
"We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light." If you're evil, the good races will hate you. If you're good, the evil races will hate you. Neutral you're in-between. They won't like you, they won't hate you. Perfect to stay out of harm's way.
7. What invention did the Terran Alliance create that allowed ships to travel faster? Hyperdive
Guess Earth has some really deep oceans if you need to hyperdive in them ;)
Unfortunatly Beta 3D will not have the Altarians or the Thalans implemented. Much of the team took the week off
That's a f***ing 50 DKP MINUS! jk ;)
Grats. So TA will be best game of 2008? ;)
Anyone seen Wargames? "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play"
Take your time. We all trust in your abilities to make TA an awesome expansion.
The best handheld console is still an ordinary laptop because it runs GC2 ;)
I'd love an option to just disobey the speed limit. I mean what could possibly happen. The UP giving you a speeding ticket?
Even if it's a 100% priority, in my last game it took ages for the AI to research it. It didn't even bother to put 100% spending on research. Industry didn't even take a drop on the graphs until way after when half the population was dead.
It's on purpose. They fully count on someone converting some planets into asteroid fields using a terror star ;)
I think I've found out what's causing this. At the end of the colony rush, I set the remaining colony ships on auto explore. After a while the turn button disappeared. By chance I selected one of the colony ships and noticed it had turns left and was trying to go straight through a planet. After moving the Colony ship manually the turn button reappeared and worked happily ever after since.
