I was loading up a saved game (without a functioning internet connection). The game loaded, the screen was frozen and then the computer instantly rebooted. When it went back into windows the resolution was (is) strange, I think it's the games resolution. The display properties say the resolution is normal and all attempts to change it fail. Screen resolution problems persist after repeated reboots. System: IBM Thinkpad T61 w/Intel Centrino Pro and windows vista ultimate. edit:

This is happening to me too (in ToA and Dark Avatar). It happens when I first clicked on a fleet at a rally point.

Hmm. Ok. I found my error - I thought DA was looking in GalCiv2/Mod, not GalCiv2/DA/Mod. So now the changes in the Abilities XML take affect, but not those in the RaceConfig.xml. Was there anything else that had to be done with RaceConfig other than just plopping the XML in the mod folder?

I am sure I enabled it. I put them in the data folder, that didnt work. So then I just left them outside of any subfolders in the Default Mod folder, and, of course, still doesn't work.

I followed the modding guide and placed modified AbilityBonuses.xml and RaceConfig.xml into the default mod folder and told the game to use the mod, but the changes do not take affect. Suggestions?
