Here is a classic When I start a game I change my mining vessel to a colony ship send it to the home planet to fill up on colonist and then send it on it's way. Gives me 2 colony ship right at the start. Then I put my tax slider to 0 and keep my moral to 100% as much as possible to get the most groth on my new planets. This usually gives me a huge boost on my ennemies on small maps anyway. When I have a new ship and I am not sure if it can

I agree. On my small maps, Earth is usually where my transports comes from, and with one of those on the planet I can pretty much get one transport every few turns and rarely have to slow down because of population drops.
If I am not mistaken 1.96 is still the beta version no?
I have creativity in my arsenal in every game. I see it kicking in a lot more in the early games but that could just be because I hit turn a lot more at the start. Yesterday I went for invasion 42 turns and got it after 3 turns. My best hit ever. Sometimes I choose a tech hoping for a hit. It's really cool.
I feel a little like a Jedi using his mind tricks. "You will surrender your planet to me" "I will surrender my planet to you" "You will bring me cookies and milk" "I will bring you cookies and milk"
After reading this I think I am missing out on most of the game by only playing humans... I just love the Jedi stuff hehe
I love small to medium maps with max opponents with max minors. I love the rush for everybody to try and gain some breathing room. It's true sometimes it,s easy to get help from otehr civs. Sometimes like my current game 5 of the 9 opponents want me dead. So I am fighting a war on multple fronts. On the other hand the game previous to this one I destroyed each civs one at a time and nobody ever declared war on me.
I play on small maps, so whatever planets I see I snag. Sometimes after the colonizing rush I have 3 planets only so it's really important to get it as fast as possible.
I always enjoy small or medium with max ennemies and max minors. It makes for interesting games with everybody trying to kill each otehr for space. I do not enjoy big maps because it's to long to clean up. And I care very little for the score.
Is the site down? I can't seem to access it. Thanks for the update
I love events I even set the slider to lots. I guess I just was not prepared for something that bad. Do they leave after a while or do we have to kill every last one of them?
I recall some talk about this event in the pass but I cannot find it. I am playing TOA version 2 I am doing very well. It looks like I am gonna win but I still have 2 opponents. Now this events pops up. I never had it before. It says it will attack any warship outside it's area of influence. All of my ships were inside at the time. I was at peace. First thing that happens is they start distroying everything that belongs to me. They are really powe
I uninstalled everything on both my desktop and laptop took 3 minutes and my saved game from beta was there had no problems whatsoever. Runs great. Good work Stardock!
I play on tiny maps usually and I never get to the end of a weapons tree. I always tried but it's just to long a research drag. I guess it,s because it,s to small a game.
WOOOHOOOO!!!!
*sigh* The only sad part is that they announced a game that's not coming out for at least a year and 3 months. There's the beta early next year(which I'll probably buy/sign up for) but still....
It's going to be hard being patient for the game. However I prefer to know and I prefer to participate in the beta that is only 8 months away. That is something cool to look forward to. I love it.
So where is that announcement? I for one love the graphics and I know they can only get better with time. I want to see the big spells that we heard so much about. In an ycase there is one thing we can all agree on is that we all trust Stardock and we all know how good they are. This will be great!!!
http://www.edge-online.com/features/elemental-war-magic-unveiled here is another article, they expand on the multiplayer aspect of the game.
here is another link I saw another screenshot and another article. They give us more information about the multiplayer aspect of the game. I swear the more I read abouit this game the more incredible it seems. I can't wait for it. WOW http://www.edge-online.com/features/elemental-war-magic-unveiled (edit: added more content)
I certainly hope there will be more details then just gamespy. It look extremly interesting and I love the title. GIMME GIMME MINE MINE!!!
Only 1 more day until we get some real info (woot!). I assume there will be a new forum created to allow us to provide ideas/feedback?
We can always hope.
I think it will be an epic RPG on a massive scale never seen before... ABOUT CAREBEARS!
LMAO!!!
It does not look very good. I was looking at the screenshots and it loks like old graphics.
Or they'll assume they are losing money to piracy and try to come up with more effective DRM. Or they'll just stop publishing games for the PC.
If that is what they think they are mistaken. Pirates would never buy the products anyway. So you are not loosing any money there and you never will. It's simple, a Pirate won't buy it. 99% of games get cracked so for them it's not something they would do (buying the game I mean)
Here is a quote from Frogboy Fantasy strategy game will be announced this next week By Frogboy Posted October 25, 2008 20:27:33 On Tuesday Stardock will be announcing the fantasy strategy
Hello everybody. Tomorrow is the Big day for some of us who have been waiting for a long time for this game. I was wondering if anybody has some expectations or ideas or thoughts of what will be in this game. I am imagining a huge map with lots of dungeons protected with creatures which we might be able to enslave to do battle for us later on. Maybe a huge dragon's lair where your hero will have to face the ultimate creature to get that super powe
