I love this quote from game politics.com. It comes from the Fallout 3 news feed. Bethesda wanted to avoid the bad reporting they had from spore. GP: Bethesda is clearly attempting to avert a consumer rebellion like the one waged against Spore. You know, the one about which EA 's CEO remarked that half of the complainers were pirates and the other half were too dumb to know any better. That is sur

I understand what you mean. I think it's marketing. It's a pain. I remember seeing commercials with only a few pictures and you had no idea what it was about. They kept passing the thing on and off for about 2 weeks and then boom the announcment.

It has happened to me on occasion. And now that I have found stardock I have downloaded a few times from their sites.
TheBigOne - quite a few publishers use systems that achieve that end. Going this route ends with Starforce and 3 activation limits - those things don't really stop pirates, but they kill the used game market. Non-transferable online purchases do the same thing, but without the horrible side effects.
If I have to choose I rather not be able to sell my used game but have the ability to get the game anywhere and to be able to play without a cd/dvd in my driv

It was very different from what I was use to reading. Guess it still is. Very good story. If you like different ki

We all know what's happening with DRM these days, especially with EA. I'm wondering why it's necessary when a process like Stardock and other MMO I have played which do not have any copy protection when you get the game out of the box. What I mean is this, when I got Everquest2 on the box it said I needed a valid credit card and access to the internet. That was strait forward. I never needed the disk in my computer to play. I did ne

I won't buy it. I want to I really do but I won't. It's surprising. They are putting on copy protection and they only thing it seems to do is forcing legitimate users to download a crack for it. Strange. Really strange. I do have to give them a hands up on the no cd necessary to play. That's good. One good step. wish all games did that.
Quoting Lord Reliant, reply 19 That does NOT sound like my idea of a fun game! Gross... I seem to remember in Fallout 2, if you spent too much time in radioactive pools you could mutate a 6th toe on your foot and then have it removed and keep it forever. Good times those.
That's creepy!

As I see it, it's my computer and I have a right to know exactly what I am installing on it. There is no half measure. They want to protect their own IP we have a right to protect our own. They wouild not pay for anything lost on my pc because of their software. From this point of view I think they owe us at that point.

master of magic is one of the best out there. And if I am not mistaken you can download it free. (i might be wrong though)

I am not touching it as long as the DRM deal is on. I have 4 pc where I access the game that means I can't always play where I am at. So forget it. I pay for limited play. Then I want a discount on the price which will never happen.
So? Fallout 3 is awesome! Especially in VATS when you throw a grenade, the guy says "OH SHI-" and then gets his legs taken off at the knees. I also like how you can pick up people's heads once you decapatate them.
Is it anygood as a game though? Is it worth buying ?

I am not really looking at my production costs. As I see it I am making those ships one way or another. So I am selling them so I can have cash in my treasury. It probably does not make sense right? I've never realy understood the mechanics of the game. Now that I think on it if I stop production of those ships I probably would have more cash per week. IS that what you mean?

My Step daughter fell in love with it. She is in fourth grade but she's about 1 foot taller than everybody else. She likes scoring LOL

Well it's really simple. I build ships and I am offering them to the other races. Meaning I take ship^1234 and I am asking for money from the Torians for exemple. And any money offer is refused. Somebody told me in another thread it might have something to do with my ships being to primitive. I think it's right. Thanks though
I hope to god they dont stick with the graphics as shown. I thought it was going to be a serious Fantasy Wargame!!!!
Oh I would not worry to much on how the game will look. If Galciv is any indication not-mom will just be gorgeous. It's strange that we are all so confident that this game will be good. I think it's because we all love Stardock and have confidence in Brad. So can we expect the annoncement at 12h
