Also in the "earlish" part of the game, i.e. once races have militaries, pay them to go to war with eachother, keeps the A.I. relationtionships low and also give you the diplomatic bonus from each of those races at war of "+Too Busy to Risk War with you"

Or if you're still having alot of trouble in that area try using some of the racial points you get during setup to max out diplomacy.(Though I personally only do this if I'm playing the Terrans in the Dark Avatar expansion)

Thought I'd ask this as well, how do I get my Metaverse stats to show?

Well, I've been toying around some with Gigantic maps, with max stars, planets, and habitible planets on Suicidal diffidulty level. 9 opponents. 8 minor civs. One of the biggest keys concepts I'm seeing on this style on map is sustainable development. Kyrnn seem to be good at this, but I still end up being at 40-50 planets compared to 60-70 average for the A.I. by the time the colony rush is over. Any ideas or tips?

Trading Econ or Research treaties is also a great way to up diplomatic relations. I'm just used to getting alliances so eassily since I play Terran so much. Also make sure to get the "To Busy to risk war with you" bonus by making sure they're attacking someone.(common enemy is good as well)

The abilities all depend on setting. In my experiance the smaller the map the more useful the speed ability is. The more opponents the more useful diplomacy is. The few the planets the more useful trade is. I play with the speed bonus on every size except gigantic, the colony rush is just so long that spending a few extra turns to build Colony Ships on cargo hulls isn't a big deal. Plus I need all the economic help I can get so I can grow as fast and large as possible.

Well, ending up winning it pretty easily with a Diplomatic victory(could have gone further by breaking Alliances 1 at a time, just time consuming). The 5 econ starbases launched me in first place pretty easily, granted it's extra cash took my 800 per turn income to about 30-50.

Little things that might help the A.I. preform better: 1. Researching Xeno Ethics much sooner(It seems to wait toward the very end of the game on Suicidal difficulty before it does) 2. Escorting Troop Transports(The typically faster human controlled ships can slip behind the "front lines" and rip these unguarded sips to shreads) Maybe attaching a points value to super abilities? examples: 1. If super abilities are turned off additional points are given to select racial

Simply put, do economic starbases stack(also do Military Starbases)? The current game I'm on, 6 of 8 planets in my control fit into an area for quite a number of possible starbases. Maybe this way I can finally match the Suicidal Computer's production.(money isn't an issue, have 7 civs econ treaties)

Notes: I play on Suicidal, patch 1.5 something DA, 9 other races+8 minor civs on huge or massive maps, I do use tech trading, and play with tech victory disabled(though the victory type really doesn't matter) So... purchased gold version about a week and a half ago, still haven't figured out how to employ the large military tactics in early and mid game that most players seem to use. Till the very end game I usually have a 50-70 military rating. Here's how I start off, Terrans
