I have also noticed ship designs disappearing from the build que. Never realized that it may be associated with tech research. If I notice it again, I'll upload a game save file for you guys.

What you could try, is to create a new "Training" option for your citizens. That would be found under the UnitSpecializationDefs xml file. Create a new specialization which would allow you to train existing citizens. Which in turn gives them whatever stats you want them to have. Then load that citizen onto a transport to invade. You could also create a new tech to research to unlock this new specialization or just add it to an existing tech. Not sure if you want to go this route, but if you c
I use Paint.NET for .dds images. Well, I use it for just about everything image wise. Here's a link to the software, it should still be free. https://www.getpaint.net/
Missing Images? From my custom faction? I can send you the custom faction mod. It's a lot more than just a custom faction. New techs, weapons, weapon effects, improvements, icons, traits, citizen portraits, etc, etc. Aside from my mod, I am also using Terror Star Overdrive mod, Illuana Farmers Market mod, More Gigantic mod, and Execute citizens mod. But none of those came from the Steam workshop. I did have to merge the Space Trolls mod with mine, cause after the last update, renaming the Rac
I started a war of annihilation with the Baratak. At the start of a new turn, the Baratak pop up on screen asking for peace. each time I select, "No, we want revenge", the game crashes. However, if I opt for peace, the game did not crash. Link to Save Game file https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0nhfuu3vphwmnhtmvcf0g/Atlantis-Rising.GC4Sav?
Thx, much appreciated
This is exactly what I wanted to do. Exterminate alien citizens on my planets. Your mod will do just that for me. Where can I find it?
So I've noticed with this last update that my custom faction is now producing crime. Likewise for the other two human factions, Alliance and the Resistance. I suspect that it has something to do with being human, but haven't had any luck finding the file which governs this. If anyone knows, or can point me in the right direction, I would much appreciate it. I've been searching through half a dozen files and haven't found it yet.
No, didn't submit a report. I found a work around for the Terran Alliance for the time being. Just copied the faction in the civ builder and then changed their ship style. Unfortunately, The game developers didn't feel a need to include a Legacy Resistance Ship Style to choose from. Could build one myself but I was hoping there was an easier way to revert back.
The latest update completely changed the look of the Terran Alliance and the Terran Resistance ship styles. Can anyone help me figure out how to revert back to the old Terran Resistance ships? Not digging the new style ships at all. [EDIT] I was able to revert the Terran Alliance ships back by simply renaming their ship style set in the FactionDefs xml file in my custom mod, but haven't had any luck with the Terran Resistance. That didn't work for the Terran Alliance, it just
Has anyone had any luck adding additional color choices to the faction creation set up? Or has anyone already released a mod that does that? Changing the current colors is easy enough, just haven't had much luck in adding additional color choices to the menu.
That looks like what I'm looking for, thanks. Didn't expect it to be in one of the text files.
Wanted to add custom citizen pics for my custom faction. Already have the pics, pics are named, and folder created, what I've been trying to find is which file controls each factions pics. It doesn't appear to be in the FactionDefs.xml file.
I totally forget to check Old-Spiders link, it worked and had the paths mod in it.
that is an older file, don’t use it if you have all of the dlc and all of the expansions. But you can look at it and see how he did it, and then you can do the same
Have you uploaded it anywhere? or would you be willing to share your files/ code?
I haven’t uploaded a mod anywhere. Old Spider had helped me with the path lines for asteroids a couple years ago. I recently did had did the same for trade routes and hyperspace lines. When I get home, I’ll make a copy of mine and send it to you.
So the AI can expand more?
I'm assuming that by expand more, you're referring to the AI colonizing. I tackled the same issue about a month ago. My solution was to do away with the Administration cost for colony ships altogether. I did it this way instead of just giving everyone more administrators, because the AI could simply use those extra administrators to build more constructors, or really for anything else for that matter. This way it onl
Semi-relevant, I've found that the AI does not build very many troop transports. "Which kinda kills the game for me when the AI is not even trying to conquer planets", So I completely eliminated the administration cost all together for building troop transports and loading them with Legions.

Wow 😂 You have no idea how glad I am that you’re still here. Yeah I’ve been away for about a year and a half and just recently started playing again with the Retribution expansion. Man I scrolled all through the UI text file last night looking for what I needed. So glad you’re still here, thanks for the link again. You know if it’s compatible with Retribution? Or should I go search through the file again?
Before engaging in a battle, it will tell you; "Victory Certain or Defeat Certain". I would love to eliminate this. I quickly scrolled through the UI text file, but didn't find what I needed. Would anyone know the file I need to edit to get rid of this?
Wasn't expecting to find them in the GC3 Data/Game directory. You have no idea how many times how went through the expansion directories looking for those. Thanks. [e digicons][/e]
I modded all of the starting planets so that all of my enemies have a class 20 or better homeworlds. Recently tried to add that for the Korath, The Drath Legion, and the Terran Resistance, but I cannot seem to locate the PlanetDefs.xml file that contains their planet info. Does anyone know where I may find it?
No. I will be releasing a new version soon
I would LOVE to see an update for this. Used it a lot during Crusade, and just recently started playing GC3 again after installing Retribution and updating my civilization mod, But now I need to update my civ's Tech Tree.
Recently started playing again after installing Retribution. I've noticed that the Terran Resistance and the Slyne are missing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Crusade expansion but that apparently did nothing. ????? EDIT: Problem Solved
Well that sucks. Thanks for the help, at least I won't be wasting anymore time trying to make something work that cannot be done.
