I guess its interesting to see that alot of games people like are also disliked by others. I do have a contender for biggest disappointment, E.T. for the Atari 2600. Download a 2600 emulator and the ROM image for this game and prepare to go INSANE as you get old E.T. out of those pits, again, again and again. And again. But I think its a true contender for top disappointment because of the expectations of not the players but the designers and publishers.
I liked ET. LO

Just for the sake of correcting this thread [e digicons];P[/e] . In the first episode this season the word was spray painted on the wall in a corridor... it was spelled FRACK. Short story: my son who is 5 and doesn't quite read yet and who was immeditely corrected for using such words, told my wife he head the "D" word somewhere, she naturally asked "whats the D word?" he said "holy shit". [e digicons][/e] Sorry just thought that was hilarious. (we just
Ok I'll get it soon. But in DA 1.8g, do AI spies stay on your planets after that race is gone?
This is possibly the biggest case of thread necromacy that I've been a part
LOL You said it.
Just want to know if the AI will ever change the tech they are currently researching. Has anuone ever noticed the AI change before they have the tech? The Drath are a few weeks from a Tech victory. I can beat them to it very easily just by adjusting my slider, but i didn't want a tech victory, especially early in the game. I only left the option on just in case thiongs got real bad in the game and i needed a way out. So if i attack them, is there any chance they will change and start
Oops, I was asking about Dark Avatar, where there are no passive spies. Basically I've never had an AI spy on me for more thana turn, until now. I have about 8 and I assumed it was the Krynn, since i was at war withthem and they are the spy race. However they surrendered to me but the spies are still there. I was just wondering if they are left over Krynn that no one told that their government is dead (when the direct deposit of their pay stops they'll figure somethings wrong)
I consider them archeologists though.
LMAO (or is it LAMO?) A related question: If a race has spies on your planets and that race ceases to exist, do the spies disappear?

SO Clllllose .... 2999 I wish i were my cat.
If you're refeing to the (holy crap I can't spell this thing...brb) ... the Gerontocracy, it just seems that we sleep so much because dinner time is at 4.
or let a dead post rest in peace
LOL Loup, dude, my ass has a silent alarm on it. No sooner does it hit the seat then i'm drastically needed for something, like reaching a bowl on the top shelf or something else that couldn't possibly be done without me. I leave my game on all the time so i can give a couple of clicks as i walk by. [e digicons]:-"[/e]
I am so going to camp out and jump in when it hits 2999. [e digicons][/e] Or i could accidentally double post ... 13 times.

It wasn't a PC game but one for my Sega Genesis I had a game called Master of Monsters, a TBS that behaved a lot like a board game with hex-shaped spaces. I loved that game... Then they remade it for the Playstation. I was thrilled that a new one existed, I was like "OMG they make it for Playstaion ??!!" and i couldn't wait to play it. Didn't take long to be completely disappointed; the graphics were infinitely better of course but the AI was just plain stupid and the story made

I'm now playing a DA game where the Torians fell, losing their last planet, never surrendering. The Terrans JUST surrendered (with only 3 planets left, after having nearly 20) but not to me, even though i built that Good-only structure thats supposed to double the chances that a surrender will go to you if one does occur. The Arceans should have surrendered long ago but still hang on. I never fought with them but the Drath and Kryyn had them down to just 2 heavy fighters at one point.
What difficult level was that on? Mine was suicidal.
That doesnt seem like a conflict that would last very long.
It would last much longer than you think. It would take you quite a while to even find a quarter of the members in those empires before you could begin to crush them. And i guess the Gerontocracy will just be watching the action from the porch swings on our Frigates?

I know there have been a few posts in the past about wanting the minors to do more. Well last night one of the minors... sit down... one of the minors successfully invaded and took a planet from the Krynn. They built the transport themsevles, sent it a decent distance across the map to un undefended planet (thanks to me) and BOOM they got their little emblem on a third planet; the second being one they colonized early on. Of course it helped that they were the beneficiaries of t
