I just started playing a new DA game.

I just started my first game in a few years. Just wondering of anyone else is still playing Gal Civ 2.

Thanks for the confirm. I ONLY used those modules with the Yor. It used to be great having enemies move at 1 space per turn. As long as you could build an empty hull once per turn they could never invade.

One of my favorite "tricks" to use playing as the Yor was to sometimes place military starbases with negative speed modules in my territory. The would mean that enemy ships would be stuck at just one movement point per turn as the starbase modules would stack with the Yor's special ability. Since I just played for the first time in years I tries this but the enemy ships were still moving 3 per turn. Was this changed at some point or did I just not use

I just started playing again after about 4 years. I remember there were 3 levels of morale /happiness that would effect your population growth but I don't remember the exact percentages. 29% minimum for some sort of growth pops into my head and I think 100% doubled the rate. Does anyone remember what the numbers are? Thanks

I just posted my first game in about 4 years. With everyone else's scores so old I think I finally made it to the top 200. lol I lost once when the Alterians got a tech victory, I almost forgot how to play.

I just happened to pass by this site and see that GalCiv3 is coming... WITH multiplayer, though I'll never use it, it will be nice to not have a "where's the multiplayer?" thread. Where are all those "WHAT I WANT IN GALCV 3" posts?

Its good to see all of you too. Yea I just reinstalled the game and playing for the first time in like 4 years. I had a gigantic game going for over a year when my computer died.

While this isn't a bug I didn't know where else to post this. I know this has been asked any number of times through the years BUT.. I want to put my original Gal Civ2 gold edition on a new computer. How do I get the latest update as well as access to Metaverse? Thanks.

Funny when some really old thread pop back up. Next someone is going to start asking for multiplayer... again.

Perhaps the medals have noting to do with posting scores on the Metaverse. And i THOUGHT you needed at least 3 games with a particular race for their emblem to show up with your medals.

If you trade away a planet with a capital you will then be able to rebuild that capital on another planet? I've been here a long time and never heard of this. If so, how many times could you do this? Imagine building capitals on PQ1 worlds and giving them to Minors so you can later have A LOT of capital structures.

Its been good. I haven't had time to get many (any) games in. I think my current game has been going on for about a year. lol Wonder how long it's going nto take me to get the 20 game medal. It doesnt help that my office job blocks this site. Its cool that you guys still come here. Nice to see you too Neilo.
