Another good example. These may seem like small details, but things like these really take away. I don't need to continue ranting, I just hope that issues like writing and backgrounding will be taken into account in future. Some of the ideas in TA are decidedly flavourful, like unique tech paths for each race, so maybe SD has already had these ideas. I hope so.

Hi all, I bought the combined DA/GalCiv when it came out, and I have to say that my biggest problem with the game isn't related to any mechanical issue, or any contention with the economic model. I find it a very enjoyable game, with a wonderful array of options. As the post title suggests, the biggest problem for me is the writing. I don't want to offend anyone, but the grammar and style of many of the tech descriptions (and, to a lesser extent, the AI dialogue) is some
Hmm. Well, thanks folks. Didn't think they'd changed it, but I thought I'd check. Better luck next game, I suppose. And it would be a nice slider to add, I agree.
Hey all, I just picked up DA, and so far, it is most excellent. I'm on my second Gigantic Galaxy game, and I have one question: what happened to bonus tiles? Out of the 2 dozen or so planets I've colonized, I think I've seen 2, maybe 3, total. On my last DL game, there were 4 on my home planet, and at dozens and dozens more on my other planets... is this a change in DA, or just my bad luck? Absolutely love this expansion.
I'm not sure if people know about this little 'trick,' I was rather surprised to find it, personally, but I'm fairly new to the game. I've lurked around the forums quite a bit, learning what I can, just thought I'd throw this tidbit out there. Anyway, I invaded teh Altarian main planet (Altaris, I believe) with 2 2000 troop transports and Information warfare. With a luckly 'roll' and their approval of 44%, I did very well. In fact, I finished the battle with just over 4000 troops, which mean
