I have a problem with the graphics. After the planet screen it goes to the space screen but the screen still has a bit of the planet screen on it. When I move the screen around, the planets, ships, etc leave a trail of their own graphic, so a string of planets or a string of ships. Anyone any ideas? I have the latest Direct X and ATI Drivers, etc

I have the latest ATI drivers and when I leave the planet screen and go to the space screen, p[art of the planet screen is still there and mucks up the screen. If I then move the screen around, the planets, ships, etc all leave trails of themselves! Anyone know the answer to this?
I have a problem with the space screen display, when I leave the planetary screen, part of it is left on the space display screen. Also when I move the screen the planets, etc leave a 'trail' of themselves. The game is currently unplayable because of this.
speaking of fauly CDs... a huge portion of my legit disks don't work anymore due to read errors. I have to resort to downloading a copy (often the game is no longer for sale) and then I install using my legit key. However, where CD emulation doesn't work or simply the DRM is incompatible with newer versions of windows, I have to use a non legit key and crack... There are tons of games whose DRM simply doesn't work with windows 7 64bit.

I think you have to be registered(simple process) to download there though.
No because if you go there you do not have authorization to go to the download page, so you register thinking that will help, giving the site your email address of course, and it STILL says you are unauthorized to access the download page!</p
Well responses to my post seem to point out that nothing will change and AAA Mainstream gaming will go the way if the Dodo with only games like World of Goo etc type of games being available, which is not my cup of tea, Hence last year about 70% of my PC gaming was retro when the previous year I doubt it was over 50% meaning next year it could be 90% and the year after...... I repeat, with over 5 million DOSBox downloads, PC gaming is already looking backwards for it's future PC gamin
Link just takes you to a registration page and after you register you do not have permission to go to the Download page!
Dead link - very professional.
This is a good idea. his is about the survival of PC gaming for God's sake!!! Indie developers need funding, major publishers need original PC titles, if indie developers keep their heads together and look at what they sign, I think this can be very good for PC gaming. Would you rather have an excellent game like Space Rangers sell a couple 100,000 when an Activision has the muscle to get the game into the public eye, where I am sure it would have sold a couple million! <
I paid full price for all the Total War games up until Empire Total War and Napoleon Total War. I was right to do that, as in both cases, as within 6 weeks of the release of both games, I was able to buy the Special Editions for less than 1/3 the full price. Given that the Medieval II Total War expansion Kingdoms had more content than both Empire Total War AND Napoleon Total War COMBINED, shows how for Creative, just like Valve, Bethesda and Bioware, its become all about the money. An
Thanks guys for the info..... The info you gave should have been in the readme or manual for the UE!
Did you not notice the 'Hi-Res 2.0' mod I mentioned?
I am sure that situations like this is why there is so much piracy. You think games companies care about you? Well, let me tell you, I am a PC games collector and have collected over 600 games since 1992. Recently, due to lack of quality PC titles being released I have been playing my older games - and you know what I have found? That starting around 2002 games companies started using cheaper CD's/DVD's compared with the past, because almost half the games I own from 2002 to 2
Just got the Ultimate Edition in a store yesterday. Bit confused. As each game/expansion has it's own exe, does that mean I should play DL then DA then TA via the exe's? I notice if I choose the TA exe I get the 'Ultimate Edition' screen, so do i miss anything if I just play via the shortcut that start the launch exe, am I missing out on any story or anything? Thanks for the help!
Luckily, I only bought the Ultimate Edition in a store yesterday, an installed it today. Before I even played it for the first time, Impulse popped up with the 2.03 update!
Hi all! Just got the GalCiv II Ultimate Edition, and have discovered there are 100's of mods. Problem is, they do not seem categorized in anyway. In any event, first off, I am looking for game improvement mods. to that end I have found the hi-res 2.0 mod, the Galactapedia mod and the mod that makes the ships bigger, etc, Can anyone recommend any further mods, or better mods than the above, that improve gameplay or graphics or UI, etc, as opposed t
This system is still DRM. It may not be on the disk, but it is still DRM. In effect Stardock is saying 'you can only buy this game new at full price, because if you see it at a low price in a bargain bin, or $5 less than retail on ebay or wherever, you cannot be sure you will not get a 'serial number already exists'. This was exactly the problem Steam had with HL2 and there was an uproar - why is this any different? You still need to log onto a site you still need to enter a valid serial and any
....But this is the reason why Space Rangers 2 Is selling 3 times the number of copies of Gal Civ II.... This is just another form of DRM. Why do I not have the right to sell my copy of the game once I have finished with it? Do I not own it once I buy it, to do with as I please? No. Because Stardock says I am paying to 'borrow it for a while' without ever owning it! Then we see all the hoops you have to go through because you bought the Italian version or the special Walmart vers
