When I play Galatic Civilization II I watch "Babylon 5" or "Firefly." When I play World at War I put in an appropriate movie like "Band of Brothers" or "A Bridge too Far" or "Das Boot." When I play World of Warcraft I usually have Monty Python's "Holy Grail" going in the background. Does anyone else try to kinda set the mood like that?

They probably cancled it for American Idle or some such shit. I'm looking forward to to watching the whole thing in order via Netflix. That Captian doesn't take crap like Picard or Sheridan. This will be a fun run I hope:)

When I try to update SDC I get a message saying my email address does not match their records. If you haven't already then, contact [email protected]. I did Kryo. And sorry about being so bitchy about it yesterday. I'm sure it will get resolved. When I got DL a couple months ago registering & patching it went so smooth that I expected getting DA would be the same.

OK...I run the install SDC tool that I got when I bought the game (for the nth time) & select "Update Now" and I get a prompt to buy the game (Which I have just bought). I have spent four hours trying to download this game & I'm just done. Your download process sucks.

I even thought "Well maybe my dumbass registered DL under an old address" but the "Stardock Central Validation" email from when I first got DL is still there in the in box of the same address I used to get DA. I don't mean to spam the board so I'll lay off a bit but this is extremely frustrating.

Too cool! I emailed [email protected] and got an autoresponse that didn't help at all. One link in the autoresponse pointed me back here. This is the most cumbersome thing I have ever seen. It is probably something I'm doing wrong but if you can make a process to get my money that takes about 5 minutes why can't you do the the same to get your product to me?

I wonder about the value of joining an Empire as well. It does not really matter if I'm a jerk (I try not to be) or an idiot (I am). It makes no difference at all when I am playing the game. I will either win or lose on my own merits regardless of my Empire membership. The community I see here is great but it just does not affect game play.

I have my 80some planets building tiny ships. As they are built I send them all to the same point on the map and form them up into fleets as they arrive. Once I have a fleet maxed out logistics-wise I send them off to go kill people & break things. The minor annoyance is that once an assembeled fleet moves out the individual ships still on the way to where the fleet was formed seem to want to follow the fleet. Have any of you seen this happen?
