I had them show up the other day, immense galaxy, everything set to Rare, and they showed up while the game was still in the first few months (I think I had turns set to slow). I had 4 planets including the 2 in the home system, and hadn't yet made first contact with any other race or gotten even 3 sectors from the home system. The JK suddenly showed up, took only 3 planets in the entire galaxy, but 2 were mine. Restart, because I didn't have invasion or even weapons yet and didn

I'm also using a wireless laser mouse, cable mouse might affect results. As well as your type of connection.
Okay...Your OP led me to believe that you didn't discover any hate till seeing the video you linked, which you posted on the 31st, so one assumes (or at least i did) thats when you first discovered the video, and thus, the hate.
Well... he did say he has a slow connection.
Banned for posting ahead of me and spoiling a good Kiwi joke.
For a prequel series that was supposed to explain how Luke & Leia's parents met, the romantic interludes were the most poorly written love scenes in the history of film.

Thanks for that information Neilo, I hadn't noticed that before. For that you get Karma. :D

The Death Star also seemed a bit too close to any planet/moon it was targeting to not get caught in the explosion of debris.
234.3 after 10 at age 61. Failing eyesight and color blindness doesn't help. However, on the first attempt I got a 316, and after the first 5 it said I was in the top 100 with an average of 255.8. My conclusion is reaction time slows due the repetiveness of the test and the lack of additional visual stimulus. I know my later hits were taking longer. Or, I could just be an old fart.
Quoting tetleytea, reply 25 but never did it hold a candle to the original. I will chime in and say that, your a brainwashed zombie of plinketts because you would have never said that if he hadnt. You used his exact phrase. How do we know that those are even your own opinions? Plinkett could have sent you one of his mind controlling pizza rolls. We cannot trust you. [/
Quoting Donfield, reply 34 and the spaceship battles were more audience-engaging than anything previously seen at the time. Pity it all had the AERODYNAMICS of a Battle of Britain. Hint.... in space no-one can...... The 'ground breaking' technical achievement was solely NOT having a static camera and a wobbly spaceship model on a string....but the reverse. 2001 actually
I saw the original Star Wars on opening night in 1977, when I was 26. As a single film, it was definitely groundbreaking in terms of its technical achievements, and the spaceship battles were more audience-engaging than anything previously seen at the time. Lucas had no idea the film would be as popular as it was, hoping only to make back the money spent and maybe a small profit. 20th Century Fox supposedly expected it to fail, though they did spend money on posters and a sp
The biggest problem I had with Clones and Revenge was Hayden Christensen's performance. I've not seen any of his other work, and maybe he's fine in more contemporary settings, but he seemed completely out of his element. I don't know if the problem was Lucas' direction of him, or George's ability to write really terrible dialogue, but I can't think Hayden deserves all the blame. In action sequences where it's obviously him and not a stunt doub
Try watching Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" to see the problem with your bloody knife example, particularly during a key scene at the United Nations. I've no love for Steam or Impulse, and when updating ToA last night was dismayed to see Gamestop still running in the background and had inserted itself into the Startup Menu. What I find most annoying with both companies is always firing a desktop ad page trying to induce me to buy something that I have no interest in (I

I had this happen the other night running the TA beta. The turn button disappeared, and after a minute or so I tried zooming all the way in so that all I was seeing was empty space. It seemed to release it, and also worked when the turn button disappeared a few turns later.
I'm not that good on strategy either, but fortunately threre are lots of people here who have developed theories for different tactics. Take a look at the threads in the Strategies forum and you'll probably find some topics for your situation. [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=347"]Strategies forum[/link]
I like the animated parts, and have used them to represent spinning sensor dishes and engine effects. One thing I'd like to see for additional eye candy is blinking running lights.
"The Big Sleep" (1946), with Humphrey Bogart as Philip Marlowe, is full of good scenes. An early exchange: General Sternwood: How do you like your brandy, sir? Marlowe: In a glass. and later in the film... Marlowe: What's the matter? Haven't you ever seen a gun before? What do you want me to do, count three like they do in the movies?
I've been seeing this same kind of error when trading techs, for each of the three games I've tried to play so far. Twice it has happened when trying to trade with Arceans for Interstellar Navigation, if that has anything to do with it. According to Kryo in this thread: https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=421&aid=166696#1350827 I now have the proper versions loaded, but I'm not seeing anything telling me I'm running Beta 1A, it only says Beta 1.
