Thanks ... seems like there's support on both sides of the issue. ... I think I come down on the side of giving the terror star just a little more speed. If you've got the terror star well protected, then the snail pace just postpones the inevitable. If the terror star isn't well protected, then speeding it up just a little won't protect it. ... and your heavy investment is wasted. .... but I can see dctrjons point. After all, its our job to win the game with the rules we get.

I was under the impression that if you formed a fleet with a terror star using warp bubble technology on one of the ships, you could boost the speed of the galacially slow terror star. .... I tried and it didn't work. Has anyone had experience in speeding up the terror star?

As a beta owner, I vote later .... still a lot to do

When a civ is conquered, all of it's ships sign up with other civ's or become pirates. ... Heck, I go to the trouble of destroying a civilization, I should at least capture a few ships for my trouble. .... How about a change that would assign some of the ships to the winning team.

This may sound like a dumb question but here goes. ... Maps are divided into sectors. From time to time it would be nice to know how they are numbered. In the campaign I'm playing, I'm directed to go to sector 1,3. Where is that? Thanks to anyone who can inlighten me.

But since I'm playing DA mostly, there are a whole bunch of new things to play with ... and the game is more interesting throughout with Dark Avatar. ... I got a little curious about scores so I ended a game (the very same game) three different ways: Diplomatic Victory, Influnece Victory, and Military Victory. I discovered what most of us have suspected all along. Galciv really prefers that you stomp your apponent to a bloody pulp and rip his heart out. I guess the best way to find it is to click on "Metaverse" Once at the metaverse home page click on "high Scores" Then click on "more" in the empire section Then search on "dark avatar refuge" That should get it. once there, you can click on "join" ... let me know if that works

As DA players have learned, DL and DA games are played on different playing fields. I've set up an empire just for DA players (you're on the honor system here because the the metaverse doesn't discriminate between DA and DL). So create your character devoted to Dark Avatar games and join in. See you at Dark Avatar Refuge!

I haven't found any places where Dark Avatar players can join in the Metaverse (maybe there are some ... I just haven't found them), so I set up an empire. I thought we might just post our scores someplace where the playing field is a bit more level. The empire is "Dark Avatar Refuge" ... pretty catchy eh? Well anyway what do you guys think?

Didn't work ... I'm thinking that because I used a different character it doesn't recognize it. ... Perhaps I'll set up a character on the metaverse that matches the new character name I used in the game.

I've posted two games to the metaverse ... no problems. ... So I played a crippling game and came through with a pretty hard fought victory. ... The problem is, it wouldn't post to the metaverse. any thoughts?

I changed the CustomPlanets.xml to give my custom races a bit larger habitable worlds ... also added one .... it's pretty cool if you want a little extra horsepower when playing painful and higher games.

After playing the game for a couple of months, I thought I'd play through the metaverse. ... only thing is, I've made a bunch of Mods that the metaverse doesn't allow. ... how do I reset? Any Ideas?
