OK ... How do I reset My illegal Mods to original specs

After playing the game for a couple of months, I thought I'd play through the metaverse. ... only thing is, I've made a bunch of Mods that the metaverse doesn't allow. ... how do I reset?

Any Ideas?

Wait, did you make the changes to the actual Data folder or the Mod folder? If it's the mod folder, then just turn off mods and restart.

Otherwise, you'll either have to reinstall, or just replace it with the normal files, if you backed them up.

I changed the CustomPlanets.xml to give my custom races a bit larger habitable worlds ... also added one .... it's pretty cool if you want a little extra horsepower when playing painful and higher games.

If that is the only file that you changed (you should
have made a backup of the old file) and you don't want
reinstall, I could send it to you as an attachment--it
is fairly small.

You should all changes in the mods\default\data subdirectory and
then change the option (in the options menu) to use mods and use that subdirectory.

That would be great! ... Yeah that was the only file I fooled with.

Please send to [email protected] ... You'll get a message from my spam blocker, just ignore it. .... Thanks again

As long as you didnt change them. You can use the metaverse defaults.
C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\MetaverseData\English

to restore the files you damaged/changed in
C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Data\English
