Could stand it for a bit, but now it's driving me crazy. Tried turning music off, special effects off, but still crackling when ever a sound is played, I have no problem with any other applications just GC II. Is this normal? Anything I can do to eliminate it? Makes me not want to play. Like having background music gives me the feel of playing a good game lol. Any help would be appreciated.

I started a new game since there are too many stars for my liking lol, well for now, don't feel the vastness of it. I am going to try huge map again, with many habital planets but fewer stars so there are more spaced out, so it will take more time to travel from star to star. Right now I am at one system, and then 3 moves later, I am in anthour system, don't like it so far.

hmm, i thought if i just built or bought some market buildings it would help, and keep my empire close just in case of an attack, they would be hit first instead of over extending my reach.

??????????????? lol that confused me lol, why would it cost too much? in what way, still learing the basics of the game, not so shure how economics work, right now, rush buying some factories and having a -16 to -35 credits per turn for a bit then build some markets on my 4 tile plantes, that no good strategy?

I am picking the 70% pop growth and the 50% military production. Surprised not many replies for this post, unless it got hidden so far nobody saw it lol please give me more ideas and why. Thank you very much Kblore for your insightfull posts.

So when people say nothing below 8 or 9 they don't touch? why? wouldn't it be good to just have research or market stuff on those 4 tiles or what not?

farm bonus hit for morale? really how so? guess i will start a new game then, don't want to get to comfy with the game and then play by next game and get hit hard because I was to use to my bonus. Hate to give it up, but hopefully will find it on a planet I can colonize. wish me luck guys lol

Hmmm... lol If we were travleing by warp gates or what not, how come the previous placed that have been are not discovered now? or are warp gates only good closer to the home planet? So many loop holes, hope to hear all the plaus

WOW just started a new game, and I got a 700%bonus to industry, is that normal? is that like 7 industry tiles? Am I lucky or what? I also have the 50% bonus to military ships, so I guess this will help me alot. Should I be expecting this increase alot, or just be greatfull to what I have?

I always wundered what blind explaoration is, will start a new game and turn it on. Geez my home planet had the 300% industry bonus, and a 100% research bonus,oh well, hopefully i can find anthour planet with it again lol.

tried it again, still full screen mode, i am wundering if this is for wide screen computer instead. anyone else can play in windowed mode?

Can you play GC II in windowed mode? I like to chat on my msn while playing is there a way to do this, and how do you do it? Does it compromise the speed of the game?

In the begining of the game,if you hit the button you can see where the other races are, wouldn't this be a cheat since you didn't meet them yet? Is there a way to turn this off, so that you don't know where there are untill you come in contact with them? I usually have this turned off, so I don't know in the begining of the game.

I seen pics of the map that are top down. When I play the game, it's isometric, how do you get the top down view? And if it's in print, i am blind since i don't see it there lol

I keep seeing his name everywhere. I thought his mod is great. I keep seeing StarDock besides his name, does he work for them? If he does, wow after the game is released he still keeps reading and participating in the forums, talk about being commited.

when you say tiles will be avaliable, do you mean the ones that say that are inhospitable, or the ones in yellow. The ones in yellow I see are only one tile. It seems a lot to go through just for one tile.
